Trial Dummy Buff Change - Intentional or Not?

So I've double checked this compared to live, but thought others should know that currently the Trial Dummy, Iron Atronach is now giving Major Savagery, Major Prophecy, Major Brutality, and Major Sorcerery. This is not the case on live. It was also not mentioned in the patch notes from today.
Would be good to know if this is intentional or not.

That can't be intentional, surely. The only way you can give others Major Prophecy and Savagery is through scribing skills, everything else is only self buffs0 -

That can't be intentional, surely. The only way you can give others Major Prophecy and Savagery is through scribing skills, everything else is only self buffs

Most of the scribing grimoires can take Savagery and Prophecy, so things like Soul Burst or Wield Soul should be capable of it0 -

Major Buffs are not intended to apply to allies via scribing, though. That was what Jessica conveyed from the devs in that thread.
It does not work in an AoE such as Ulfsild’s. I haven’t tested if you can do it with single-target skills, but that’s not really a feasible way to source these buffs.0 -

I've only seen it work with Healing/Shielding SoulAdd a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.0 -

They're so common, through regular class skill use, for slotting, or potions. Maybe this was done to reduce the cost required to parse. Also, Major Brutality/Sorcerery is technically a common group buff now since DK is so popular and Igneous Weapons is no longer a loss on DPS to use. Maybe Warden's in U51 will provide aoe Major Savagery/Prophecy via Lotus Flower.
Idk, whole thing needs to be revisited though. Meta shifts, sets come and go. When subclassing released, everyone suddenly had access to 3~4k pen and 20-32% crit damage, so support sets that covered these fell out. It's incredibly difficult to not over penetrate, so 6~7 medium has become the norm which also pushes out Crit Damage CP, sets, and/or Khajiit. Classes like Necro and Arcanist tend to overpenetrate making them appear to deal less DPS than what is probably possible in real content.
I guess we all know this in the back of our minds, to take it all with a grain of salt, but I take it there is some that don't and will worry about min/maxing, even if it doesn't apply to them. I've seen people complain they want to use Light Armor or Khajiit for example, but they can't because of those caps when all they do in pve is pug trial and dungeon runs.
All this to say, would be cool if there were 2 types of trial dummy's, a min/max one like we have now, and a more reasonable one with very common, no brainer buffs/debuffs with realistic uptimes... or hell, just give the current trial dummy some presets we can toggle through.
At least pure classing is fixing this a little bit since presumably ZOS will be smart enough to not give every class crit damage and penetration, especially on 1 class like Arcanist. Already seeing a return to alternate crit damage sources via sets like Mora's on the PTS due to Masteries and the loss of Subclassing.1
