    Im not depressed about werewolf, but I'm not happy with it. I prefer to play my werewolf on live at this point. I don't find the new way of playing to be particularly fun. Feels too much like a boxing match.

    The majority of healing is coming from the spammable attack. If you aren't attacking with that skill constantly, you're probably dying. At the same time, the spammable doesn't do enough single hit damage to not be spammed constantly. The burst heal is not good for this play style and cannot make up for not spamming rip and tear. It needs to be scaled closer to live and needs a HoT and cross heal added.

    Berserker will not be able to play open world and stay in form. Even in IC, if you're kiting around trying to evade while in combat, it's just a continuous ulti drain. You'll have to stop and eat something while doing all of that whether chasing or evading. Pack leader has a better chance, or at least will last longer.

    We've seen the high dps werewolf duel video. This video is more about nerfing werewolf preemptively than it is about actually pinpointing the problem. I suspect that the call for nerfs by non-werewolf meta players is more about not being forced to play werewolf main for a whole patch. They can prove me wrong though.

    I don't want Werewolf to be meta. I want it to be good and competitive. I want to be able to play like we do on live, but better. It doesn't feel like that to me right now. If it went live today like it is now, I wouldn't play it.

    This is a good take.

    I'd also like to see classes other than sorcerer feel viable as werewolf, this has been a big werewolf balance issue on Live for years and years.

    Either class passives (including Masteries, which made the gap even wider) shouldn't work in werewolf form (compensation provided in WW passives) or they need to seriously rebalance passives on each class to suit werewolf as well, which would be a huge rework on its own. Maybe this will arrive naturally with the class reworks as well, but it'll be a time consuming project to see more than just sorc wolves out there.


    A good compromise on the heal on spammable (which does also devalue your dedicated burst heal ability as a GCD) would be to only have it activate in execute or if Rampage is active.

    I am depressed.

    Depressed at how much people don't seem to understand that balance is important, and how much people seem to dismiss genuine concerns over balance by moving goalposts, dismissing arguments if they come from a place of concern over PvP, and acting like the back and forth of balance only ever goes one way with PvP always being the reason things are changed (when it absolutely and emphatically does not).

    I think you misunderstand.

    The class passive/mastery imbalance when it comes to werewolf also severely affects PvE. Why would you ever play a Templar or Necromancer werewolf if you're using the same abilities, running the same gear... but doing half the damage of a sorc (or DK) werewolf?

    When more than half your passives require class skills to be slotted or have to do with a crux or corpse mechanic that becomes absent the moment you turn into a werewolf, you're going to fall behind.


    This affects PvE as well, just as it does PvP.

    Correct. These were both inexplicably linked the moment they pushed the game into first release without PvE and PvP being clearly separated. There is nothing you could do now short of template PvP (vengeance; majority of remaining PvPers don’t want identity gutted) that would separate these 2 and be fair to players on both ends.

    As a result, PvE werewolf and PvP werewolf conversation and feedback are tied together and cannot be simply resolved with an ‘on monsters’ tag either.

    I agree, Wuuffyy is actively pissing me off and also pissing off other people, they ARE doing more harm for WW than good.
    Anyway yeah I gave up on this thread. Wanted to actually talk to PvEers about werewolf, and I've made a new thread with that attempt too but that will likely remain ignored.

    Isn't the solution first and foremost to just balance PvP and PvE separately, which then allows for appropriate adjustments afterwards? Why is ZOS so scared to make this a standard practice?
