Shortly after porting into Lightless Oubliette in Coldharbour for the first time, my computer inexplicably crashed. Ever since then, any time I attempt to log in to my account, my whole computer crashes (shuts itself off) before I even reach character select.
I opened an email-based ticket, which was met with a reply to Repair my game client. Didn't help. Notified Support, only to receive another reply saying "Repair your client. If this doesn't work, please Contact Support [insert link of the general Support website]."
Taking the advice of this second response, I opened a new, phone-based ticket. Never got a phone call, but got 3 email responses - all from the same person and within 45 minutes - of deteriorating quality. It began with "Please run the test report generated by the Game Consultant link" (great start!), then "It must be your graphics card driver" (because the game ran smoothly during beta and since launch, so that makes sense?). I mentioned that I felt the issue was probably character-location based, similar to what I've seen for members in other zones, and requested that my character be manually transported to the nearest town. The suggestion I got was priceless:
"You can teleport your character to a town using wayshrines! Or use /stuck."
I'm sure that advice would be 1. helpful if I'd somehow managed to reach level 49 without knowing what a wayshrine was, or 2. poignant if I was capable of logging into the game. At all.
Needless to say, I asked that the ticket be passed along to her supervisor. Nearly 3 hours have passed, and I have yet to hear from anyone.
So now I'm paying to play a game I can't access and can't get a hold of anyone because, two tickets later, I'm at the mercy of a Support team who will no longer respond. Anyone have a similar issue (with computer crashing and getting locked out of your account, of course)?
