About how often does a main story quest come along? Or how can I tell if I'm in one?

I can't tell when a quest I take on is a main one or a side one, is there a good way to tell the difference?

wrlifeboil✭✭✭✭✭Main story line quests start with the prophet/[Snip]. He automatically finds you when you reach certain levels and tells you to meet him in Coldharbour to pick up the quest.

The journal tells you where the quest comes from, and has a special section for the Main quest, plus it mostly seems to be in Cold Harbour (so far), which is a big clue.
