I reported this earlier on but my thread got removed because It showed one of the bots names lol... They are completeing a quest for gold reward, same as what they were doing at Coldharbour and Windhelm before they fixed them.

Their "fix" is useless and only harms legit players (they remove the gold reward).

Instead ZOS, how about you make the quest only available to players of a certain minimum level OR give a reward in its place like a free costume that binds to account and can't be traded for money, either real or ingame, and can't be sold to an NPC either.

Just don't take the rewards away from the game - it's no real solution - it only hurts legit players and makes us sad. Surely you can see this is the result, or aren't we shouting loudly enough at you yet?

^bahaha! I'm envisioning trains of The Prophet running around taking craps on everyone's lawns. Or whatever.

On a semi-related note....was doing the Shattered Grove quest on Auridon earlier tonight. The hubs and I stood there for a good 15 minutes after completing the quest and listened to the Cannonreeve give her talk about how "we don't truck with Daedra" over...and over......and over.....and over. No one was visibly standing there at all (like in the pictures here), but when targeting the ground, we could occasionally see health bars with names like "asdghw vsfeg" under them. Tried reporting, but since they seemed to be UNDER THE GROUND we couldnt get the player interaction menu to come up.

Really, though. Elders shitting online. Great visual. Thanks for the LOLZ.

I noticed this in Riften today too...all they're doing is creating character, port to Riften, complete town quest, delete character, rinse/repeat. I went to Windhelm & they were doing the same thing there too.

The crazy thing is that it's all the same Gold Selling company. How can you tell? Because even the sliders for all of these characters are identical. When you see a constant stream of bots & the ALL look identical, it's pretty obvious.
Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

Yeah...this is just....I mean...wow...it's like a never-ending steam of them coming to this one quest return. I've been reporting them for 15 minutes now and they don't stop.

There needs to be a GM here SMITING them as they run up.

I'd PAY to see them all purged with FIRE!

On second thought....I'd PAY to purge them with fire MYSELF!

    Flag them for PvP please.

PS: They are all level TWO! How'd they get past the starter zone before level 3? Don't you automatically get level 3 if you skip the starter island?

Yep, seems the only way they know is the easiest route that wrecks the game.

I don't get why you'd make a game like this then go take a sledgehammer to it at every opportunity.

It's the exact same kind of superlative competence I'm rapidly coming to expect from TESO.

I'm not exaggerating when I'm say that the Devs' attempts to control the bot population are doing more to destroy the game for me than the bots themselves are.

I completely agree - I could've ignored the bots in the dungeon and just got on with playing the game, but noooo every man and his dog complained about them and asked the devs to put a timer or DR on the loot...now look where we are.

Said at the time this would only bring the bots into the open world...hurr durr everyone.

What's worse, and I could be wrong here, the recommendation was to put a loot lockout on each boss specific to them... so the community was asking for something considerably less destructive than what we got. It's almost like there's someone sitting in Maryland playing corrupt-a-wish with our recommendations.

I'm starting to get the feeling they genuinely hate us, and want to punish us for playing a game in our free time.

Whoever it is that's making these decisions...ZOS you have to stop them - they're sabotaging your game.

Yeah, I'm getting that impression too. I mean, if it's not what they're actually after; they're doing a damn fine approximation of it.

Hell, once we traced the decay bug to, your gear breaks down when you play PvE...

Worst part is, I actually liked this game. :(

Same here - it's killing me. I really wanted to see this game do well, it could be really great...but all the things they keep doing to fight these damn bots is wrecking the game for actual players.

It's just so clumsy... /facepalm we're trying to help you ZOS, start listening.

That and their lack of community interaction. I mean with the decay thing we had a "working as intended, with caveats" reply almost a month ago... and no word since. I keep having the feeling that this was another one of their anti-bot mechanisms so they just don't want to talk about it... but, the bots don't repair their gear, so this is literally only affecting legitimate players. But, the community support has been so spotty across the board anyway.

I mean, if they'd actually explain their rationale for all these nerfs, and at least gave us the illusion that they gave a damn... but... no, that's apparently too much to ask.

And, then it leads to rise of a borderline troll that wanders in here says, "nah, my experience is cool; y'all must be imaginin' things," that drives me bat----.

After yesterday banning, the bots no longer run or fly to the quest NPC: they just teleport in front of it and then teleport away. Here's a screenie that I took a couple of minutes ago.
    0hgz5enu2h3b.jpg

The gaping security holes the game has to allow them to fly, clip through geometry and outright teleport are absolutely shameful, especially given the RvR PVP aspect that the game has: these bots are really blatant, but a group of players can easily pull off the same tricks and be undetectable to other players, because the game was programmed in a way that allows them to do it.

Yeah, whoever coded the game never remembered the first rule of networking. Never, ever trust data coming from the client.
