I was going to buy the plus bonus (lol @ the name) but...the rewards are kind of underwhelming. I'm always buying everything on release so this is unusual for me. I think the new dapper senche bundle is cooler than anything in the tome so I purchased that instead. The textures and FX are starting to look really underbaked. There's no layers or finesse to the colors and textures used, a great example being the new dawn and dusk type vigor. It's a really ugly flat-colored mandala thing growing out of you and it just looks unfinished. Reminds me of the early 2000s Morrowind mods, but those were often made by literal children. It's kind of shocking to see it in a AAA game in 2026. Sorry.

I upgraded for 12 tokens. But if I didn't have those tokens, I definitely wouldn't have bought the premium tome—in my opinion, the rewards aren't worth it (of course, that's just my opinion...).

Didn't buy it for this season since the rewards don't seem to be worth it, but I might if there's some cosmetic things I really want in future.

There‘s nothing in the premium section that I truly need or want.
I‘ll probably use my ESO+ tokens of a future pass if I like the rewards but I don‘t plan on purchasing any pass with non ESO+ money.

I bought the Premium + Bonus even though I was not interested in the unique costume.

    Here's my reasoning:
Annual ESO+ is 125euros and I was already paying for it, so nothing changes here.
With chapters I always preordered the Collector, let's say 50euros. Getting 3 Premium + Bonus per year I'll spend 90euros instead of 50 BUT thanks to Microsoft which raised the GamePass Ultimate I used to have to a price out of my reach, I've now paid in advance 3 years of GamePass Essential, so I have lots of "saved money" at my disposal to reinvest in the only game I play: ESO.

Hope someday Xbox stops charging me to play online so I can save more money to reinvest in ESO :)

"Ok, but why the pricier one if you didn't like the unique reward?" - Tome points caches. I'm not going to open them to speed my race with this Season, but if kept unopened they can be used in later seasons; it could happen I won't be able to play much for health of other reasons, so they'll prove useful.

For me the premium rewards are worth the 13 quid it costs to upgrade, especially since that's only once per quarter. The bonus reward this time didn't seem worth it to me.

Also, the good news is that the upgrade purchased once applied to both the EU and NA servers, as I play on both.

I was almost tempted by the wolf mounts, but the neon markings just put me off. Otherwise there was nothing that tempted me enough to upgrade this season. Some nice deco and cosmetics I'll use in the base free tier, so I'll just try and grab those instead.

I'm happy the paid tier stuff isn't really essential and feels very optional so far, hopefully that continues. If I see stuff I really want I'm okay about paying for a pass, but I'm a fussy cow so I skipped it this time.

@ "No but I might purchase one of them in the future depending on rewards avaiable on next season(s)."

Admitely, I was tempted by the personality, but I won't use it on my main I don't really like that very 2 handed sword in the personality.

Basically I have everything worth on my main now anyway (save a surprise), and gone is the idea to be a completionist for everything.

I am also on the fence of quiting, and the cosmetics will be forever lost if I leave.

By chance the game doesn't absolutely need 'my' money on that to continue its route.

I will pay ESO+ as usual if I stay though, so I am not totally playing a free game here.

And I still might pay the pass the next seasons as voted, if I don't get it directly thanks to my ESO+.

(The game still serves the purpose to change my mood to good in between, so not sure it will be a good decision to now quit though^^ And what would be the forums without my havoc....).

Upgraded with tokens. But did I get it right? Premium+bonus only gives one costume? Mounts and personality seems to be in regular premium tier. Definitely won't be buying +bonus version in the future if it is like that.

Like with 2026's pass, I did it while holding my nose.

It really felt a bit icky to buy it since I'm not really happy with ESO's current model of "play alone together" and how they're cutting the things I like (Dungeons, new Classes) to focus on honestly what is ESO's weakest point (the writing). Plus, this whole "we're reducing FOMO and we will not add any content that is gone after the Season ends" is totally false when pretty well every big thing they announced in the reveal except Crimson Veldt is going to delete itself like the Wall did. The Night Market? Gone after 7 weeks, but at least it returns for another period before going away again. The High Seas ships and Underwater stuff? That's an event, not a permanent zone, so that's gonna be gone after that's over.
It's like the Wall all over again: Sure it was fun, but why spend the dev time to make something that's going to be deleted when that time could be used to make something that's not going to cease to exist after a few weeks?

But I bought it for one thing specifically: the Personality. It looks so good and I know exactly which character I need it for, but I'm still praying they're gonna fix it.
We told them on PTS that the permanent prop weapon clipping was an issue, and they changed it by... removing the unique sneak animation? Uhh...

I get that replacing the prop weapon with the character's equipped 2H is "beyond the scope," but as a premium Personality, they really should have someone from the art team sit down and get that to work. If they did that, even if it was just for that Personality and just with a 2H equipped on the active bar, that Personality would be a 15/10.
At least it is still possible to use the emote weapon replacement trick so somewhat see what it would look like in a perfect world. But it does only make me want the character to be able to walk like that always.

Looked at the rewards and just none of it looked interesting at all so I have not.

Honestly some of the best Battlepasses i've seen have been Marvel Rivals. They have big battle passes that last the whole season usually with one thing i want for $10 sure whatever, then they do small passes with things i want.

I haven't bought a league of legend battle pass in awhile (especially when its a champ i dont play for the skins) and Diablo 4 cosmetics are just kind of bad.

I did buy the regular one because I appreciate that they're trying something new and I wanted to support the game and give them a chance to follow through this year. I want to like what they're doing, I really do.

But, going forward the premium offerings would have to be quite a bit more interesting to entice me to pay again. There are a couple items of interest in the premium tier, but there's a scary amount of filler / junk in there. At least from the perspective of a long-term player.

They will also need to work out the bugs and rough edges of the tome system. It hasn't been a great roll-out. There are significant differences in points awarded between some of the tasks, and it feels too rng-based.

I got low-point tasks that are just tedious and boring, while others I know got high point tasks that are too difficult for them or not content that interests them. It seems like there is a limited variety of tasks. Re-rolls should not give you the same task again. Once again they have a system that heavily relies on their flawed rng foundation, where the results are absolutely not random and players regularly get stuck in repeating patterns.

Finally, having it so you have to repeat each task multiple times is boring. Standing there in a huge crowd waiting for the same boss to spawn over and over again so that it can melt in 3 seconds is the laziest, worst, unengaging "content". More re-rolls, more variety, more generic tasks and choices (like "kill any WB in these zones" as opposed to "kill a specific WB over and over").

And most of all, the actual content that's coming is going to have to be interesting and engaging, or this system is all for naught. I've always said, if I'm enjoying the game and actively playing it, and others are doing so and the vibe is lively and happy, I will spend. But I'm not going to force myself to repeat dry old content just to grind a tome when there's nothing new to do.

I am just not having fun at this time, and it's not great.

I have zero interest on group content like Night Market. I really like ESO crafting, exploration, questing and pvp. When I first time left ESO it was when they added Craglorn and it was only for groups and I even could not research my last traits without joining some random groups.

This season is experimental and do not deserve to spend money yet for my liking. When they add the other parts, like solo dungeons, puzzle instances and even underwater exploration or increased difficulty I can consider buying battle pass depending on how much forced group content includes.

I still subbed ESO+ to support devs, as I really think they are trying to add content for every type of players, but simply and sadly this season has nothing to offer for me as a solo player.

It took 2 days for me to finnish weekly chalanges and I see now no reason to play for the reamaining 5 days till the reset as I have zero progression on the season. I will come and check when Vengeance campaign starts and hoping they will not have a gated content on gaining ranks as it is now on the season pass.

I bought it to enthusiastically embrace the new model. While the rewards aren’t bad, I regret my purchase because of the Tome Points expiration issue. I was forced to buy things with those points so they’re not wasted. They were useful items but I wouldn’t have bought them otherwise.

I’m not feeling endeared to the new system because of that and the UI, so I don’t know if I will purchase the next one.

It feels like overall this is just a monetized version of Endeavors. I would have preferred that system be improved and made more rewarding than this. Instead we have more layers of currencies and incentives and pressure. Doesn’t feel good.

Players have been asking for less FOMO and more rewards and it just doesn’t seem like they will accommodate that without mostly paid or time-limited solutions.

With their stated goal of strengthening the core game, I think they need to appreciate that quests aren’t the only solution. It’s strong, permanent systems with strong, permanent rewards.

I purchased the premium one. I found the price point to be very fair. The new system is definitely an improvement and it adds more reasons for people to play. And in some cases play together depending on the task. All good things.

I got the regular premium pass because I wanted that Werewolf skill style. I don't regret my purchase! I also like the set of Mesa Stalker cosmetics (including the Monster Hunter personality) for the theme alone, but I doubt I'll use them. Any Werewolf or Hircine-related things are good in my book!

I won't get the premium plus upgrade because I don't want the costume that comes with it.

Nope, didn't want anything this season.

I'm not against buying a season, but it has to have something that is VERY enticing for me to get it.

The personality comes close but since it puts a generic item on you that doesn't fit my character's it's a skip.

I didn't mind paying for a Chapter. And I like the new model where upcoming content is free, but paying only for cosmetics makes me feel like I can go without it, even though I like the Premium armor and weapons (but not the mount and pets).

If they added Crowns to the Premium Pass, or like eight thousand more Seals, I would be more likely to consider it.

I may get Premium in part to support the game, as I do want the game to grow and succeed. I just need a little more in return to justify the optional expense.

I am not really into all the cosmetics. I do see one or two items I will get with the free tier, but i feel none of the things are really worth the additional cost.

    Premium Tome $14.99
    Premium + Bonus $29.99

While the paid for Tomes never expires so you can complete it even after the season ends. The price is only one season.
So far it appears that a Season will be about 3 months, which would make it about 4 per year.

    14.99 x 4 = 59.96
    29.99 x 4 = 119.96
Those are the U.S. prices without figuring in any taxes / fees.

For that amount of monies I can get 1 or 2 new games a year.
