@tomofhyrule First of all thank you for a detailed reply. I still would like to further clarify the part I quoted:
Are the carry over ability is within the same season (as in tome points from free tome will carry over to the next tier (premium one if bought) within the same season)? Or the 2000 points from free tome will carry over to the free tome in the next season?
Again, I don’t know precisely, but this is how many other season pass games work:
The free and Premium versions of the tome are the same, so if you are earning Points on the free track and then decide a month later to buy Premium, that changes nothing except giving you more things you can buy with the points.
When the season ends, any unspent Points up to 2000 are given to the next Tome and any more are lost. It is therefore a good idea to spend Points before the season ends to get the most value out of them.
Thank you again. The other 2 MMOs I played did not have battle passes when I played them.
What Carries Over and What Doesn't
Tamriel Tome: Expires when the season ends. Purchase a Premium tier to keep it permanently.
Tome Points: Up to 2,000 carry forward. Anything above that is lost at season end.
Tome Point Caches: Never expire. You can hold them unopened across multiple seasons.
Premium Tome Tokens: Do not expire, but can only be redeemed on a Tome that is currently active.
Challenges: Removed when the season ends.

I have always played this game with a goal of increasing my numbers. Gold, achievement points, writ vouchers, AP, sticker book completion, trial scores, etc.
This is a very concerning practice if ZoS is now going to take stuff away from us.
@ZOS_Kevin - is this a real thing?
Well. This whole time system is basically copy-pasta from fallout76 seasons system, and the currency equivalent to tome points (they call it score points there) works exactly the same way there. Meaning, whatever points you don’t use, they expire at the end of the season.
Soooooo...they reduce FOMO by making all future content free and introducing the Bazaar, they introduce Trade Bars that get rid of how limiting and restrictive Tickets were...but then make it so Tome Points expire save 2k every new Season.
I didn't know if the ESO Hub thing that mentioned that was right or not but it's unfortunate that it was. What's the point of making Points expire when y'all JUST made it so that people can save up 'Tickets' now? One step forward one step back.

buckleup buttercup we going for a ride....
please don't quit over tome points... i mean you are certainly free to do as you like as always but really.... that's the hill you're willing to die on? If you just want a reason to quit i 'm sure there are plenty but i'm not getting the quitting over the expiring of tome points at the end of the season...

When we opened them they didnt tell we lose alll of it at end... fells like a scam
I also opened 12 Caches and already got most of the things I wanted, so now I’m left with 25k tome points. I will continue doing all the weekly challenges, so pretty much I’m sure I will end the season with 20k+ tomes left, converting into 2k.. doesn’t sound fair. I’ve submitted the ticket to transfer the tomes back into Caches, hopefully this is somehow possible.

That's because they weren't doing one last money grab before heading into maintenance mode!

I didn't recall it ever being said that challenges will remain for premium players. Only that premium will ensure the tome pages will still be available to purchase unclaimed rewards.
