Claim 99 Daily Logins in 97 Days

I'm confused. How can we claim 99 daily logins in a season that only lasts 97 days? And why don't I already have one from logging in today?

If you'll notice, the amount of required logins is very high and the reward is very small. Since we don't have daily login rewards anymore, this is probably a default challenge that slipped through, and it's not meant to be completed.

Disregarding that it's not working right now.

The intent is that it can be claimed 99 times, in the 97 days of the event. Each time you login you can get 15 tome points. You don't need to login 99 times to get the 15 points.

It's repeatable each and every day, at least that's how I read it.

You can do it 99 times until you cannot anymore, and you get a reward each time, it's not you have to to it 99 times to get a reward.

I think it's not counting if you logged in before the Tome went live.

This seasonal task works differently: Each time you log in, you get the bar fully filed and claim the reward. So it is not doing 99 days and then get a reward, it is a maximum of 99 times getting the reward. And the max of 97 what you mention is assuming the next season starts exactly on 2 July, may it starts on the 4th? And for those who have bought the premium version of the season, you can continue with completing the tome after the season has ended.

Though I also noticed that logging in today does not count. Might be because it looks at the first time you logged in and mine was before the season started. It is hopefully that and not a bug.

yes this is how it worked on pts. each day is 15pts claimable individually.

Also, those who bought premium will be able to claim 99 times as their tomes do not end.

Hi all, going to address two things here:

The 99 days is a catch-all for future Seasons that may have more than 97 days, which Season Zero does have. We'll look at improving this logic for the future, but at this time it is intended.
As for today's login not counting, this is a known issue if you were already logged into the game when the Season began (it has to do with when the game's database saves occur). We are looking to fix this for future Seasons, though just be aware it may not be fixed in time for Season One.

Also, please note that you are not required to log in every day to finish the Tome.

Yeah, I understood that you don't need to log in 99 times to claim the 15 points and you instead get 15 points each day you log in, it's just weird that it says you can claim it 99 times when that's not actually possible, and that I didn't get credit for logging in today.

Okay, so question. I was logged into PCNA when the flip over happened. But when I logged into PCEU an hour after the event started, I still did not get a login credit. Are the databases shared in such a way that my being on NA prevented EU from getting the login credit?

I logged in after the season had gone live and I didn't receive credit for the login.

Yep, another report that it didn't work even though I was offline when the system turned on. I guess probably screw me for trying to play the Jester's Festival this morning, right? Still have no idea how, after all the years of negative feedback, you haven't split these two events up. Or made the crown store update the same time daily quest do. Or *something*.

Days not counting for golden pursuits/endeavors/tomes if you log in earlier in the day before it starts has always been an issue.

For me, it's been annoying, since I've always wanted to max my event ticket/trade bars, so I make sure to log in early on the last day of an event to get those last tickets/bars. But when one event starts when another ends, I get burned for that.

But, only a little bit. It would be great if ZoS looked at this logic, and worked out a way around it.

Thank you, @tmbrinks, for explaining that the "daily login" challenge gets completed every day. That is a relief.

Just FYI I was logged into the game at 9AM ET, logged out for some time and then logged back in around 10:30AM ET. Still did not get credit for this item. So I was not logged into the game at the time of event flip. Was it only logging if it was your first log in for the day? (on PC/NA)

I don't have any logins showing for either of my 2 accounts. I've gone through all my characters doing daily crafting so it's not like I just logged on once, but nothing 😔
And I wasn't logged on when the Tome started on both accounts either, just one of them.

Yup, they removed the FOMO of daily logins just to put it back again!

I was thinking the exact same thing lol. They replaced daily logins with daily logins.

There are 97 days between April 2 and July 8 (Season 0)

Breakdown:

April 2 → April 30: 28 days
May 1 → May 31: 31 days
June 1 → June 30: 30 days
July 1 → July 8: 8 days

Total: 28 + 31 + 30 + 8 = 97 days

Truly special ZOS logic. They remove daily login rewards to supposedly reduce the daily chores and FOMO and then stick a daily login reward back in.

All this talk of how they're trying to do better for the players and they haven't actually changed at all.
