A question for ZOS regarding employment.
Why not hire some of us to help curb the bot problem? Hell some of us would do it for free! (myself included.) There are probably hundreds of us who are just dying for the chance to ban some bots into oblivion.
If you guys had a CONSTANT GM presence in game, then the botters wouldn't be able to keep up. You would literally have a small army of us on the look out for bots.
Earn some of your credibility back ZOS! Let us assist in making this great game, even greater!

No? Explain why this is a bad idea? Obviously a system would be in place to ensure that people don't abuse this power. Like maybe if they do they're permanently banned from the game?

They'd be stupid to allow that kind of privilege to some ordinary player. Right now I wouldn't be surprised if the 'dramatic' in-game bot banning was being done on an ad hoc basis by someone on the dev team.1 -
Mistamichal✭✭I would be all for that but, only if they went through a proper vetting process just like they would any regular job - people apply, have an interview, agree to conform to company policies if they get the job, etc. Then, hopefully, that would weed out anyone who just wants to be a bot vigilante or ban people they don't like and so on.0

I know it would not be smart to just offer it to any joe that wants to. Like I said, science at the wall. I don't know how this would work but I'm just trying to think of solutions to the problem *shrug*
