We're supposedly able to get Trade Bars from the Tamriel Tomes as well as from events, so I hope ultimately a good balance has been struck. We can still spend the Trade Bars we get from events on the events, so maybe the idea is we can use the Trade Bars from the Tomes for the Bazaar? After all, the items in the Bazaar rotate every Season, and each Season has a new Tome.
People would buy everything and lose interest in participating in the Tamriel Tomes as well as events if the prices were too cheap.

There's too cheap and then there's not really workable. The events eat up most of the bars. There's a middle ground. Right now there's no point in even trying to get anything but the event stuff.

So that gives a nice boost.
I believe there was also talk of some of the enemies in the Night Market dropping them too, I'm sure more sources may appear as well,
I tend to agree the prices do seem steep but will hold off on full on moaning until the new system is completely bedded in.

I’m a little underwhelmed with the Bazaar so far. The prices are a part of that, the inventory is another. I would really prefer cheaper prices and more rewards pulled from the vast inventory of crown crates and timed deals. Right now, seems like consumables and anniversary collectibles. Hopefully season 0 brings some fun goodies.

Honestly I said this before and folks said i was wrong lol. The system was never meant to actually remove Crown Store FOMO, that was a pipe dream and this result shows it.
The Bazaar is meant for unique missed rewards like login freebees, old event stuff, 1st year Chapter events, whatever those were called. Basically stuff not directly bought, but were still limited time in some fashion.

I received one of the fragments for the mount in a jester's box today. If they keep adding some Impressario items to box drops, that will reduce the need for using trade bars on event items.

The sword singers redoubt for what is 100ish event tickets seems a little high considering it's big but it's mainly an open area with a couple rooms and a really cool cave but it's still just a cave. The telvanni house is beautiful, but for what amounts to 90ish event tickets, it's a small workshop and a room with a staircase that leads basically to nowhere. I can't decide if it's fair priced or not. Some of the other stuff, skill styles and costumes etc seem priced right. The music box as well.

That's the thing, though, I don't remember doing much to "earn" them. Of the ones I have, most were login rewards, and the bigger items were login rewards during the 10-year anniversary year (2024). Maybe a few were golden pursuit rewards. So I did very little to "earn" them, and yeah, it makes me feel a bit weird as well.
I think the ones that were login rewards should be cheaper, for sure. IIRC Sword Singers Redoubt was also a login reward? (According to UESP, it was a login reward on Day 3, so yeah).

It would appear that that some are finding it acceptable to calculate the trade bars at maximum effort rather than considering those who want to take a break and may miss some days of play.
I personally am getting tired of having to play every day to get the maximum rewards from events. There needs to be a time to take breaks otherwise it is just more of the same FOMO with a different look.

Some of the stuff seems a bit overpriced for sure, hopefully they're open on some of this pricing but I doubt it. But we will likely be getting a decent amount of the currency this year to get much of what we want. Time will tell.

Jester’s (300 bars per day for 8 days) goes straight into Anniversary (300 per day for 14 days) on the 2nd, when we also get to see how to get a load from the Tomes too.
I have a feeling by this time next year, people are going to be saying that there’s not enough things to spend bars on.

Those drops are only for the happy few, I'm afraid.
During the writhing wall event I opened about 70 boxes a day to get the Colharbour house, I did not get it.
Some people got it from one of their first boxes. 'Luck' is not evenly spread in this game.
