Dear ZOS members,
I did a ChatGPT review of my character names recently and found one of them potentially being in bad territory. I file a ticket asking if that name infringes ZOS rules with the intent of renaming if so. Instead, your support agent turned that ticket into "Report a Player". It created two tickets with one of them thanking me for the report and the other issuing a 3-day ban:

It should be emphasized that the ticket was filed in good faith to ensure compliance with your rules and seeing how it got handled raises questions on how much AI involvement was there and whether or not your support agents review AI's handy work.

CommunistBanker721Soul ShrivenI should add that appeals to these 3-day bans are generally not useful especially on a weekend because the employees don't work for 2 days and they take another 2-3 to reply. By the time, they get to the appeal, the ban is already over.0

It seems like the situation was rectified very quickly (within 14 hours), which is a pleasant surprise. This feels like an improvement in cadence compared to before.
However, I'd like to recommend you or your relevant colleagues to look into the paper trail of this ticket. It seems like one of your employees did not read the content and just issued a ban without a second thought. They also did not apologize for this oversight and instead framed it as a "one-time exception" unban.
I believe the community managers such as yourselves and the dev-teams have been working hard to enhance community engagement with U49 (which is well-received) and other improvements in your processes. It'd not be in your interest if other departments in the company undermine that effort.1
