From the stream, we know Gnash will be a two part ability. The first part, where you bite into the enemy, does Physical Damage. The second part, where you rip out a chunk of flesh, does Bleed Damage and has Execute scaling.

I assume we won't need to cast Gnash twice to activate both parts of the ability. I also assume it's a melee range single target direct damage spammable.
