Magelight. It's terrible...

In first-person view you can't see the orbiting ball but if you look up you see a bright light.

Who plays a mmo in first person . . .

I wish we were ALL playing first person, and could only go 3rd while stationary to look at our armor or something. Ah, the dreams I have.

Could simply make it show in Cyrodiil but nowhere else.

Melees have it easier since they are getting 21% PASSIVELY from medium armor, while casters have to waste slot for 20%.

Yea, well, you casters get a 21% reduction in spell cost, melee has nothing comparable even if we do waste a slot.

I like the Inner Light globe animation on my sorcerer. I'm all for glowing things orbiting my casters.

radiant magelight is fine having the glowing ball, but inner magelight should definitely lose the globe in exchange for the glowing eyes/hands. Even the name suggests such - it's -inner- magelight, the light is coming from -inside- you, lol. I'd even give up the stealth detection bonus just to lose that stupid ball.

I cant stand that stupid glowing ball anymore, it gives me a headache being constantly onscreen, but it's too good a stat boost to not use.

I hardly notice it any more.

But it does serve to remind me I've forgotten to turn it on (sometimes :()

There are passives for cost reduction in most weapon skill lines.
You also get cheaper dodge... shrug. Anyone can wear anything they like.

I have no issue with magelight animation or sound, it is one of the least annoying things in the game TBH.

How it was possible to make such an annoying animation and not notice it.
Or is this part of the test (torture) when it is used?..

Hmmm, I don't even notice it at all. So much so that I don't notice when it turns off after zoning.

I think it's annoying too but it kind of just melds after awhile, but i think i'd prefer it if just the eyes and hand were glowing, or if it just kinda hovered.

I posted how much I disliked it a while ago, and I admit I'm getting used to it a bit more. However when visiting pretty areas or spooky houses and dungeons, it still is a giant mood killer for me. I keep switching it on and off all the time to enjoy the graphical part of the game more, but this has made me notice that the effect (20% extra spell crit), buggs alot. For all the people who do the same as me and switch it on and off all the time, I suggest you keep a close eye on your character statistics to make sure the extra spell crit is actually working!

Like anything; after a while you get use to it and notice it less and less.
Oddly enough it's also actually useful as a light when in dark places.
The visuals do seem to be mixed up though, when you read the two morph options.
If you can be anything, be kind.

I don't like it at all, but as others have said, you eventually learn to ignore it. Like a bad smell.

    Well, most bad smells.

I like having a projected light source. It may be annoying sometimes, but it's a great flashlight in darker areas.
