Assasins league Staff style just changed overnight?

Has always been the black hand style staff, suddenly since last night it has changed to look more like the axes in this style. Used this style (what it was until now) for a few years now on outfits across different characters since its one of my favourites.

I actually spent a lot of sunday afternoon (27/10/25) making this outfit for this character, and had picked the staff as part of that then. Played later in the night until at least 11pm gmt when i went to bed.
When i got home this afternoon i logged in about 4pm, did some quests and noticed this change as soon as i swapped to my backbar.
Asked in zone chat and my guild chat but only received minor acknowledgement.1 -
i also have this issue, PC, NA.
2.13.26 this still is an issue. any news about that getting put back?

✭I checked, and this is indeed a change that appears to have happened. While I personally like it (I find the new "axe head" staff quite appealing, and if this is fixed I do hope the axe head staff is released with another style soon), I can definitely see how this would be problematic for other users.

So this hasn't changed btw..
Staff is still using the axe head style model with the intended black hand only seen in the thumbnail on preview.
Please can we have an update on why this was not returned in one way or another?

I've placed a ticket regarding this some time ago, but even Update 49 didn't fix this cosmetic bug.
I'd really like it to be fixed soon - it's been this way for nearly a half year now...
