Assassins League Staff, bugged or intended?

I've been previewing the new styles and so far I love the Assassins League style, however I noticed something odd with the staves. The preview indicates that the staff would appear like a hand, much like the staff shown in the concept art (can't find it atm, someone care to link it?). However when equipped it has a style like a...battle axe? Here is what I'm talking about;
