Lost the ability to do anything except move!

I'm used to controls/skills not working (I'm a nightblade), although it's driving me mad, but I've just experience quite a time of not being able to do anything but move or jump. I had full stamina, health and magicka bars but couldn't fight (standard mouse clicks), roll, crouch, swap weapons or use skills (and happened to be down a nasty public dungeon to boot). I also got an ominous warning that my "equipment is damaged"; the last time this happened I ended up with a massive repair bill as all my armour seemed to have degraded to the max! Finally I got unceremoniously kicked off the server

This game is so full of bugs it's unbelievable but a complete failure to do anything but move is pretty major!

Try selecting your mail box when it happen again, it usually unfreezes. If its the more serious one then use /stuck, travel to player.

i had a similar problem using the dual wield skill, the one that stabs them 5 times had no problems after i had stopped using it

I have the same thing happen. No mouse clicks or key presses will work during combat. I can run and jump most times just no attacks will work. This happens at least once or twice a play session for me.
I'm was thinking it was lag spikes but, mobs keep attacking and moving with no delay just fine.
I am not using a wireless mouse or keyboard either so no bad signal.

Yes avoid the skill rapid strikes if you are nightblade. It will cause frustration if you use it. Beyond that, if I get stuck and I usually press escape a couple times to clear it up.
