Today coming home late evening, tired from work, I experienced a strange feeling I'd never experienced before. The realization that I didn't need to accomplish any endeavours, didn't need to log into ESO for a daily reward. Does anyone know what this feeling is called? It's sad it only lasted for about a month. I wish it could stay with me forever.

I’m finishing lunch right now, normally I would then log back in to do Endeavors but now I don’t need to do so. It’s nice to not feel like I have to do them, but is that good for the long term health of the game? More players not logging in every day means they can get used to playing other games and doing other things. It could lower the daily population and make group activities like dungeons, trials, and Cyrodiil harder to complete or even get engaged in. We are sort of struggling in those areas on console now anyway.

PC here, but I agree with your comments.
I'll still be logging in daily to play ESO-- I do try to collect the daily hireling mails on my alts, I do daily crafting writs on my main PCNA and PCEU characters, and I enjoy playing three matches against the expert NPCs for the ToT dailies. There are also the daily delve and boss zone quests, although I usually don't do any of those unless I'm trying to collect specific motif pages or just feel like doing a boss fight that I happen to enjoy. And I try to check my available Antiquity leads every day or two for any that are due to expire within the week. Plus, my two newest alts are still researching crafting traits.
But like you, I also made use of the daily endeavors as a way of nudging myself into doing certain activities that I enjoy but that I wasn't generally doing all that often anymore. I'm thinking of setting up a spinning wheel "random picker" with all of the activities I enjoy doing in the game, so I can spin it whenever I'm playing and need help deciding what to do next.
Aside from that, I'll probably be spending a lot more time in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City (mainly the Sewers), and taking the time to get back into questing through the zones I haven't completed yet on my various characters, or working on rounding out their skill trees. So I'm definitely not at a loss for ways to fill up my time in the game.

We shall see how it all plays out in the next year I suppose. I just think those of us on console (don’t know about PC) have been hit hard by the trader listing changes and that has shut down many large trading guilds, Cyrodiil is plagued by the Warden Charm Rush of Agony meta and population is low on GH for DC, and trials are struggling to find players because many don’t want the arcanist/nightblade/whatever required build for dps. One more reason not to log in could be bad for us.
It's not the end of Endeavors tho. They're essentially being made into weekly and seasonal ones instead of daily and weekly. It means you have way more time to finish them, even if you don't pay to upgrade and remove the time limit.BretonMage wrote: »It's interesting to see other players' reactions to the end of endeavors. It was nice to know it was there to be done if I felt like it, though.
I hope the new system is equally satisfying. A post on another thread has me worrying there might be some micromanaging involved with tome points though, with claiming points versus accumulating them for unlocking pages or something. It's all very confusing at this stage.

It's definitely a system that's got its kinks still. I couldn't do much with it on the PTS myself, as I didn't have time to do stuff consistently, but from what I saw for the most part it's essentially the same kind of stuff the previous Endeavor system would have you do.BretonMage wrote: »It's not the end of Endeavors tho. Yes, I know. I just liked the little bite-sized list of things to do each day. I'm not sure how the tamriel tomes work, but this comment here - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/8434958/#Comment_8434958 - makes me really worried that the new system might be a lot more convoluted than the endeavors were.
