Unfair disadvantage for new players

I love reading the zone questions that new players have. I have played everyday since early access,
First i just played and did not know about dupes, about bots etc untill my first public dungeon and asked in zone why are all these people here LOL
I was level 13 so the boss that respawned every minute did not drop loot.
This was fixed with the loot timer like a week after.

But i wonder why new players would even stay, is the game still worth it when the stuff we early players got is all taken away?

I noticed the bots make it hard to find ore and jute etc, level 10 person asking me how do i find iron really scared me, wtf is going on?
I noticed i hardly find any motives, so how will a new player.
I noticed i hardly find recipes
Etc

This makes new players believe or think they have to buy everything, making the people that do have the stuff even richer.

None of this was intended, it is expected when you join WoW after ten years, not after 6 weeks.

So i think we should consider taxing players that have more than they should have, and sending it to real players who just signed up.
How is it funny to struggle to get by and see people on youtube with a million gold, four times over.,

We get enough of that in the real world, that is why we play an mmo

How to do this tax thing and make sure the bots won't end getting up the money is up to zenimax.

But if nothing happens the new players will just run to the gold selling websites to get to the amount of gold they expect to have or think they need,

It needs to be a thing like the lockpicking , but then only once a day, to receive you daily benefits.

The real people on who did not have to go to work and could play the game all the time and expoit all the gliches can then feel rewarded by giving something back.

(FLAME ON>

I do not mean everyone, you will know if i am talking about you! So...

But seriously, if new players do not get a fair change this whole thing will be over soon.
Being a millionair in an empty game world is a lonely thing :-)

Karl Gro-Marx finally came down from the stronghold I see.

But seriously, I pay enough social security bs in real life, I don't need it in my games too.

This isn't really anything new from other MMO's.
The lack of resources because of bots is annoying and something which is needs to be addressed (though ZOS are always working forwards on this).

In regards to nerfed drops and the rest that's common in a lot of games, the first month/s of SWTOR every was making millions of credits from slicing until it was nerfed for example. Being the first to play an MMO will always give you some level of advantage because you'll get to use the game before balancing waves come to pass.

On the flip side of the arguement though think about all the things new players don't have to deal with? Boss campers, bank slots going missing, more than two downtimes a week, bugged quests, lack of guides or knowledgeable players to help.

Zenimax is the problem with this game. They and they alone bear the responsibility for everything wrong with this game. Bots, bugs, and all the other problems that have surfaced so far belong to them. They should fix them, period. You want me to keep playing a broke game, and subsidize all the under achievers and new players. LOL.

Why should people who played longer or smarter, have to pay those who don't put the effort in? I don't normally react this way to a post but this has got to be the dumbest thing I have seen anyone post in a long time.

It's bad enough that I have to pay taxes in real life, can we at least leave my escape alone and not turn it into some socialist experiment.

I recently started a new character and I have to say that in a whole map I found two iron ores only. If you ask me how many bots i found , I'll tell you more than 7. Isn't this hilarious? They just roam around the map from harvest node to another node with their super fast speed, fairy wings and x-men powers moving through terrain. Can't compete against them can I ?

And Zenimax should fix that or lose money from people deciding not to subscribe anymore.

@ OP - In response to to the general sentiment of your post: That's just the way it goes in a MMO.

The ppl who have played longer, will have lived through more stuff ingame than newer players. And many times, the older players will have benefited from SOME mechanic that gets changed before an influx of new ppl. You want to to be in the first group to the top of the mountain, get in on the ground floor. Sucks to be FNG sometimes, but that's just the way it goes.

If a player can't deal with that reality, maybe this or any other MMO just isn't for them.

@ the guys putting the whole of the RMT situation on ZOSs shoulders, you are just being reductive and/or disingenuous.

Bugs, quest glitches, instancing problems: those are on ZOS for sure and they should be working hard to fix them. Notice i say should. I say that because they currently can't, imo, spend as much attention there because they are trying to appease what they assume is the majority of the playerbase's main concern-RMT.

I've said it elsewhere that RMT is horrible and should be contained as much as possible. BUT the core game's stability should have been the first and foremost priority from Launch. And again my opinion, but it really doesn't seem to have been. Collision issues, progress halting glitches, class ability issues, etc etc: issues that should be THE things ZOS should be trying to rectify first, but they can't because they are too busy trying to contain a player escalated problem.

That's right, a player escalated problem. Because that is what RMT really is. There is always going to be a market for it because there is always gonna be some nimrod buying from these guys. Forgot about the buyers didn't ya?

For all of its issues, Final Fantasy XI had a community that was devoted to stopping RMT as much as possible. And both players and the devs acknowledged that it was a two-sided issue. The sellers AND the buyers. Can't have one without the other. And with that mindset(and over years worth of time i must add), RMT was effectively contained.

Sorry i went on in this part on my post

TLDR: RMT is NOT just ZOSs issue to deal with. As a playerbase we need to come to the realization as a group that gold buyers are just as culpable as gold sellers and get off ZOS's back for a beat and let them stabilize the game before we ALL start working on the RMT issue.

Feel free to flame, deride, or <insert verb of choice> me, but i really think that view needs to be put out there in the midst of all the pitfork and flaming torch waving.
