Please let us collect the Dye Stamp exclusive dyes! [Outfit System Request]

Greetings and happy Valentine's Day ♥

Valentine's Day and the in-universe Heart's Day have a few related Dye Stamps in the Crown Store every year, they have 2 lovely pink dyes that we cannot collect, they are genuinely much better than other Purple dyes and are truly pink.
(only referring to them as Purple because the Outfit System puts other pink dyes in the Purple list)

Please let us collect these Dyes and every other Dye Stamp exclusive Dye for dyeing our Costumes and Outfits. ♥

a lot of Dye Stamps do use dyes from Achievements, but sadly some are store exclusive and therefore not usable on Outfits.

There is a red and blue dye that is only available in the Store that I would like to use but not as they are offered pre-slotted. I've only seen them offered twice in the 27 months I've been playing ESO. And they are NOT in the Due section of the Outfit Stations. I would also like to have an absolute white color. I've seen a few players wear it. It is the brightest and cleanest white I've seen in this game. Better than Julianos White.

I agree, this would be a great addition.

At the moment dye stamps are completely useless to me, but if it unlocked the exclusive colour to be used properly they'd be worth buying.

I've always been irked that there were crown store dye stamp only dyes. I'd even be ok with the dyes being purchasable in the crown store as a permanent dye station unlock since we have a few crown exclusive motif books.

this remove dye stamps and add them to merchants and achievements because it would be neat to buy dyes with gold and gives us reasons to seek out merchants with them

Agreed, dyes should not be one-time use only. Increase the crown cost of the dyes if needed, but let it be unlocked permanently.

I've never bought any of the crown store dyes. Complete rip off for one time only use.
I also thought they were just dyes that you could achieve.
If they added the dye to your dye selection I'd consider purchasing them. Cost shouldn't increase as they are already expensive just for a colour.
Dyes need an overhaul. The sample colours often in no way match the colour when put onto gear. I tried to find a true black for the new wedding dress and none that I have (and I have most of the achievements) made it a real black. A preview of the colours that you don't yet have is needed.

So, while there are gaps in available colors still in the dye system, part of this is that some dyes are more shiny or matte and some of them are hybrid colors that shift depending on the light. While we now have a mixed and iridescent section, old dyes of that type are still under their main color (ex Transliminal Violet is a gold/purple hybrid that is under purple). I would kill for better outfit system sorting (alphabetical, date released, etc) and dye system sorting too though. It would make fashion so much easier. And yes, previewable dyes please!

For the dress you specifically mentioned, Void Pitch does make it look genuinely black but all other dyes that are black are either dark purple or dark grey.

yeah i wish they had some kind of collectible system for the dye stamps

as i see it since they are one time consumables they are 100% basically useless to get in my opinion

while i agree they can look nice and have some unique colors, the fact they are a CONSUMABLE that is one time use is not something i would ever pay money for

Please see my response to the "end the pink tax" forum thread—we need more dyes in general that have multiple methods of acquisition, not just obscure or hard-to-grind achievements. (I've been working on Counterfeit Purple for ELEVEN YEARS and I'm still 400K gold away! And obviously I'm not able to solo the latest trials for the dyes they give.)

I missed these pink dyes yet again—it would also be nice to apply them to outfits (motifs) and not just costumes.

If they need to monetize the exclusive dyes, maybe they could at least sell them for Crowns as one-time dye unlocks. Or just add them to the dye options and make it cost like 10 Crowns instead of gold whenever you apply them.

Great idea. There is really no compelling reason for there to be dye stamp exclusive dyes. I get some of these are store exclusive (which also feels bad for different reasons), but there have been a few times over the years I have liked one of the colors in a dye stamp but really didn't like the other for what I was doing. If a stamp has a dye we should be able to get it by itself and not only as part of a prepackaged stamp.

I don't disagree with this but if they make them usable multiple times they would all need to be able to stack in a meaningful way. They do take up inventory space. Honestly a stamp should just be consumed once used and become a selection in the outfit station and the associated colors (if not available through other means) should become unlocked as well. It wouldn't be as fair for a dye purposefully locked behind an achievement to be more easily obtained by purchasing a dye stamp which uses it from the store.

Yes, that's exactly what I was hoping for; once a dye stamp is bought, the dye should be unlocked permanently, and therefore becomes available to use at the outfit station like the other dyes.
