Should mobility be emphasized even more for the Sorc refresh?

I think if they focused on making the Sorc more similar to the Flash, it would make the class more distinct. Every class has magicka spells, the sorc is not unique in casting spells which is why I think mobility would be the best way to improve identity. An example is a vertical mobility skill where the sorc launches straight up and lands anywhere within 10 meters as an AOE lightning strike in the form of a ground target. Perhaps it can have a skill that leaves behind a trail that slows or damages you which would encourage constant movement.

What’s so unique about the sorc if every class casts spells?

    The ugly useless pets as nobody competent will subclass DS. The Mobility and the burst combo was what made Sorc distinct imo. As Streak has been given to everyone now and there are far better burst options pure Sorc is such behind compared atm.

    Yes, I just love to be streaked every two seconds, so I hope this glory skill will be even enhanced and now the caster appears exactly at your place, letting you explode instantly.

    But, seriously, I think that sorc misses indeed some unique, iconic Skills setting him apart from other classes.
    As you said, each and everyone seem to be a caster, more or less.

    I would like a skill that creates doubles of you, lets say 2.
    You are randomly teleported to one of their places and the doubles act similary to the player. They do no damage, but the effects are similar, so one doesnt see from whom the damage really comes.

    I think it should be noted that sorc relies on speed not only because of streak but also because they lack defensive utility like strong heals and cleanses.

    A sorc rework should hit 3 important things imo

    1) a good reliable spammable for both stam and mag builds
    2) reliable healing toolkit / utility toolkit that doesn’t require you to have the pets
    3) shields and their scaling need to be reworked.

    I do love stacking speed on my stamsorc or spamming streak when I put myself in a bad spot but having the option to hunker down and actually fight without having to rely on sets or outside class skills would be nice. It would also be nice to have some level of utility in the kit that fits within the class play style and gives you some other playstyle than straight damage.

    Sorc builds have always been unique in pvp but fundamentally center around 1 working aspect of a non coherent kit, shield and mag stacking for magsorc, speed for kiting and high burst / high dot pressure for stamsorc.

    Pet builds have been dead in pvp for years due to the pets being targetable and easily killed, bad pet ai, and the pet buffing sets just being power crept into obscurity and in pve they are just glorified dots that for some unholy reason require 2 slots and actively hinder your ability to function when they misbehave or die

    Right, if pets are dead in PvP and all other classes can cast spells, then the only thing that would truly make the sorc unique is speed & mobility. It should literally just be the ‘Quicksilver’ class.

    That’s what I was thinking of as well. And if they are going the channeled route like they did with beam and dk flame breath, then a channeled sprint with a damaging/slowing trail left behind. That way a sorc for example can simply use it strategically to ‘draw’ a boundary of sorts.

    I think the point is that it’s supposed to be warlock who’s power is gained through daedric pacts. it’s quite clear to me the lighting attunment of the class comes purely as an after thought since it has nothing to do with the other 2 skill lines and functions on its own in virtually any build, its a generic skill line and none of the skills are even really caster themed other than maybe streak bcs it’s a “teleport”

    Ps. This is true with wardens ice skill line too , it makes no sense and should be changed to poison and nature themed or change the other 2 to ice themed
