Huh? Do you mean you are only allowed to choose AD races for the AD faction. You are only able to cross faction races if you bought the imperial pre order.

Races belong to certain factions - unless you preordered the game or get the Imperial Edition, race determines what faction you're in.

Hello @Tombs_UDL,

as @GossiTheDog said, only players who have preordered the game have access to the explorer's pack, allowing to create a character of any race in any alliance.

It was not specific to Imperial Edition.

This isn't entirely true. I pre-ordered the digital Standard Edition (not the Imperial Edition) and was able to play any race any faction. Though, yes, I did pre-order.

By the way, yes, my Altmer Sorc sides with the Covenant and doesn't like the Dominion.
