Gold companion rings.

So after the first guaranteed ring from the first ever gold box is it possible to pull another ring from a gold box? Between me and my wife we opened gold box between our 6 accounts today and never got a single ring so is that it? No more chance at them?

From the description on the page where they talk about the gold ring, I took it to mean that it was one gold ring for the entire event per account. They are unbound and people are selling them on guild traders now, some for outrageous amounts. I was disappointed that the trait is random.

You have to have a companion with you to receive companion gear. Each account can get a companion ring. I received one on each of my accounts. Fortunately I got the ones I was after and gave the rest away. If you did not have a companion with you when getting the boxes try again with a companion. You can get two of the companions without a DLC. Unsure if it's one per event like Elvenheart said or if it's just super rare.

I think it's super rare and I got extra lucky.
I read the article and thought it was one per event.
Then I got one yesterday and one today. Asked if anyone else got the second and nobody had.
I guess it's possible but very rare...
(Not even 1 of those was what I wanted so I sold them both)

I had no idea these companion rings are worth so much, I don't even use companions so I sold mine but when I saw that they're being sold for on average 1M I had to buy it back, the one I have is 2% less damage taken

I wonder if the 1M is for people who got good traits like Quickened?

I got crit rate, but with my companion dps I won't really notice another 50 crit rate over a purple or even blue ring. But maybe someone will buy it.

The article says, "The very first Extravagant Parcel opened during the event will contain a guaranteed gold-quality Companion Ring", which made me think it was just the once. Surprising that SkaiFaith managed to get two..

I was lucky in that the trait I got is somewhat sought-after, even if it wasn't what I needed. I understand the first time they gave a gold companion ring as a reward (2 years ago?), everyone got one in Quickened, which is an excellent trait. I'm really disappointed I missed that one.

Something to note, it's not strictly "you have one chance and that's it." I didn't realize I had no companions on my alt yesterday before I opened my gold box, and it didn't drop any jewelry. But I unlocked Azandar and got today's, and did in fact get a gold ring to drop.

Just something to note if you've got alts and, like me, are worried about missing out on "your one chance" by forgetting you don't have companions unlocked yet.

Edit: One yesterday and one today in the golden box. Must be super rare.

This is what I was mainly wondering. Was hoping there was a small chance to still get one to drop. I'm glad they aren't guaranteed everyday so there's not too many but would be nice to get a couple more from boxes before event end.

on 14 accounts i got 1st days and 0 2nd day so unless i get another somewhere i think its locked to 1 per event per account , not getting one today with 14 accounts drop rate is super low or non-existing

side note i did get 8 purple rings today from my boxes so tho not gold still worth an ok amount of gold

0 for 14 is definitely convincing that it isn't intended for more than one drop lol.

0 for 14 is definitely convincing that it isn't intended for more than one drop lol.

Why are these selling for so incredibly high? They're not visible cosmetics, and only provides like <1% boost to a singular trait compared to its purple quality, and that's on a companion's limited capabilities no less. Where is the value?

I got an aggressive trait. I'm holding onto it for now since I'd like the sentiment of giving Zerith Var a hearts day ring. But if I can sell it for 3 million gold to someone with way too much money to waste, then maybe I should do that...

I assume prices will plummet after the big spenders get the ones they want, and since more players increase the "production" of the rings?

you want something bad enough you do the work to get it i guess , eso being on 810cp lock down gave the players to much free time on sub-accounts , idrk theres an lots of pointscould be made having done on 14 accounts can point to i play to much is one too lol

In my 2 guilds only 1 other person stated to have dropped a second one. So if possible is incredibly rare.

As I said, I sold them both, so not bound...
First one was Aggressive, second one Shattering.
Not played today yet to test my luck for a third XD

EDIT: no luck the third day XD I'd prefer if luck would make me find the only piece I am missing "Purple Quickened Greaves" - I am farming WBs and I found both "Purple Augmented Greaves" and "Purple Quickened Guards", so close, ARGH!... (XBOX EU - I know on PC there are many on traders)

Got a second one this morning from the gold box. Kind of glad it is possible because the first one that dropped was an awful trait and I sold it for pennies.

TheBardAtTheInn’s post above suggests you must have a companion to get the jewelry, but you can try again from the gold box if you didn’t have a companion out for the first one.

For those curious, this event increased the practical most bonus of the Cooldown Reduction stat for Companions by giving us access to a 2nd Legendary quality Quickened item, since the Companion's Ascendant Ring cannot be traded. I wrote about it here:

yea I did them on 3 accounts and got trash traits for every one of them
Kinda dissapointed. Would have been nice to upgrade one of my companions with a good ring but RNGesus said no.

First day of event first one I got was Vigorous, bound for my tank companion. Second one I got just now on the 5th day was Aggressive, also bound for my dps companion.
