Golden Pursuits - "Give 5 Companion Gifts to Improve Your Rapport"?

What does this mean exactly?
I didn't even know that you could give companions gifts. There certainly no option I can see to do that interacting with them.

They come from boxes from this event.
After looting, look for these items, they'll say "tool" in the top left corner of the tooltip when you mouse over them.

You give the gifts by clicking them from your inventory while the companion is out. You collect them from the event boxes during the event. The gifts will also tell you which companion they are for too, as each companion has a least one type of minor and major gift you can give them.

Heh, that's actually pretty neat and reminds me of the companion gifts you could give companions in the Dragon Age series, little things tailored specifically to them.

I can't wait to hopefully spoil Zerith-Var and Sharps soon!

Just an FYI, if you use these while you are at max rapport with a companion it will still progress the golden pursuit.

the blue companion gifts gave like +7 rapport, the one time i used one on a character not at max rapport

i do not know what the purple ones gave as i didnt see what the number was lol

I got excited thinking of DAO as well. Would've been nice if the companions had some dialogue acknowledging the gift, but it's a good start.

if you get the purple companion gift, they do have some unique dialog and have an associated in game email they send you

Ah, thanks, I forgot I had one for Tan in my inventory. It was super cute. Can't wait to see the others.
