Companion Gifts Rapport Value?

Trying to figure out if they're worth farming/buying. Does anyone know how much rapport they give? It seems they're a very recent addition to the game, and google hasn't caught up.
I wish this information was part of the game.

I assume blue, since I didn’t even know there were purple ones.

Rapport boosts during Hearts Week are supposed to be doubled, right? Because the add-on should show an even number.

7 doesn't seem very high, unless these gifts are plentiful? Especially if this is doubled.

I've gotten six so far today and I'm not fully done doing the achievement hunting after doing the intro quests and a few dailies with a friend. One purple, five blue.

Earlier I handed one to a companion and my Add-On stated 7 gained indeed. That must have been a blue one. (I think it's not 'doubled', just 'increased'?)

Just now I handed over a purple one, and gained 75 reputation and an in-game message customised to the specific gift.

I have so far collected one blue and three purple gifts.

The rapport increase is 50% during the event.
So, blues give 5, which becomes 7 because of the event.
And purple gives 50, which becomes 75.

I didn't even realize what this was-- I thought it was a gift that Bastian had given to me-- so I used it to see what would happen, and when I was told that Bastian thanked me for the gift I realized that I'd just wasted it, since I was already at maximum rapport with Bastian. /foreheadslap

If I get more, I'll be sure to use them on another character, or with a different companion out.

You can get gifts in Mara's parcels, marked tool in the upper left corner of the infographic, and the last sentence of the description will tell you which companion it is suited to. I only wish you'd get gifts for companions you actually have instead of the usual subtle guidance to buy content you lack. But hey, you can still sell it for gold! (So suck it, formerly part of the content and now paid add-on companions, lol.)

I'm curious about those messages you might get back: I gave gifts to Azandar (twice), Sharp and Mirri (once each), and I got some answer letter by Azandar, but not by the other two. Is it arbitrary, is there a cooldown, or does it depend on whether it's a blue or a purple gift (of course I forgot to look...)?

I only had one purple gift, for Mirri, and got a letter from her. The others were green and blue, no letter from those. That's 3 gifts out of about 6 boxes?

I also suspect I got the letter for a purple gift. Which was inside the first box of the day (the golden one), so maybe purple gifts only drop from those?

I got more festival boxes later (a whole bunch of them), mostly from world bosses and delve bosses, and some of those did drop some gift (not sure which quality), some didn't.

Can anyone post screens of their letters? I'm curious what they say and I doubt I'll end up getting purple gifts for the few companions I use.

I play a translation, unfortunately. So most people wouldn't be able to read it.

I got one letter from Azandar yesterday, and just minutes ago I got one from Mirri. As suspected, only for purple gifts, and both purple gifts I got so far dropped from golden event boxes only.

Blue gives 7, purple gives 75. I suppose it is boosted by the event, so out of event it will be 7/1.5 and 75/1.5, respectively.

I've used a couple of purples for the achievement but haven't got letters. You do get letters from them all when they're levelled enough (can't remember if it's to full or some other point) and already have all those, so maybe the purples trigger them early?

They don't just drop from the gold box. Had a ton drop on Playstation yesterday and got 4 or 5 purple.

I did get all the achievements done yesterday too tho and those boxes are named differently - I didn't notice much difference in the contents but they could have been what dropped the purples. I'm pretty sure I already had a couple before I got around to the achievements, but it's possible!

I got a purple tanlorin gift (who I don't even have lol) out of an achievement box. Only purple gift I got so far.

Interesting, today I also had several drop from other sources. Also, I got event boxes from random overland chests today while I got absolutely none from that source yesterday. Makes me wonder whether it's just rng or whether something was fixed.

the companion gifts are from what i can tell guaranteed from the gold box, or the purple boxes received from achievement rewards

the normal purple boxes only have a chance of the companion gifts

im just glad they are sellable because i have all companions maxed rapport so they are effectively useless for me, i only used 5 in order to get the achievement that required giving 5 lol

My main account didn't get a companion gift from either of the first two gold boxes, so it's not a guarantee.

I have gotten a few purple gifts (and several blue ones) from purple boxes from treasure maps, though.

I got a letter from Sharp for a blue gift.
But I do have excellent rapport, so maybe that's a factor?
