*** When are you sanctionning the Battleground leechers ZOS ??? ***

As long as BG continues to provide Purple Daily exp bonus and 25 transmute from rewards for the worthy also dont forget if they pickup daily bg quest ( 1 win ) they can get another 10 transmute.

Problem is people don't even know that how you can easily farm transmute by end of the each Cyro campaing go there waste 10-15 min per character and here is your 50 transmute per character. But due to they need to repair or join fight and it needs some button to be clicked no sir they will abuse BG.

I wished you could get something like vengeance BG where everyone gets buff food, inf potion, same items only skills different maybe that time they will try to play but still no. Again the main chase they are after is XP and Transmute.

They don't understand how easy to farm transmute as i said with reward tier 1 and the exp you get from bg you can literally get it in 5 mins of brp instead of wasting time inside 20-30 mins of BG.

So the fix is easy, remove purple xp buff, provide some penalty to those who dont actively fight ( deal damage, heal or damage taken ). You can even force them to win BG to earn reward. I dunno why they still get rewarded for losing ( low amount xp and some transmute). So its not a loss for them due to no matter what they stay afk and they still get something.

@EnOeZ OK, never played ranked BG so take into context.

I'm not a PvP player. There was an event awhile back to entice you to trying battlegrounds. I did. What a waste of time. If you want to sell PvP to new players, this ain't it. Killed any interest I had.

There was no match making. It was me, and 2 other noobs against people who live and breathe this stuff. 3 games in a row, got stuffed and zero points to our objective. Lost 500-0. 3rd game I just rubber banded the controller and went and did something else for awhile. While I dunno what it is like in ranked if it's just you being a kill-pill for the other guys I don't blame them for walking away or not bothering. I mean, what's the point? Sell it to me? Make balanced games and I'm sure people will be into it. If you are little more than a kill bonus then... why bother? Not sure why this is hard to understand.

this seems like a "you do it to yourself" problem.

I joined a battleground because I was given a quest to in Auridon by one of the NPCs. I queued "no CP" since I'm just now 160, but at the time was like 100, thinking it would be a fair place to try out PvP. little did I know that the opposing team was basically all 3000CP players in full gear.

the exact same problem I had in Cyro. You guys queue for content meant for lower end players, then get annoyed when half of them idle because why even play

Similar to my experience (don't even get me started when I was constantly just wiped trying to do something as simple as fish in Cyrodill; i mean, yay you for stomping a noob over and over). It's weird. I see people complaining that nobody plays PvP (here and on Facebook groups I'm on) yet this is our experience dipping into it. Toxicity, tea bagging, messages telling us how crap we are and... why don't they come back? It's a mystery. I have no idea.

I am talkign about "Players" who join in RANKED Battlegrounds ZOS ? @ZOS_GinaBruno
    • They stop playing as soon as there is a slight disadvantage or not playing AT ALL
    • Some join die once and never revive
    • Others never live spawn crouch and do nothing

I guess they join from work or just want the XP points and gear, but damn, this is HIGHLY TOXIC and not respecting the time of others !

    This is really unbearable...

You on PS5 by any chance? Loads of sausages on that console do this. They think they are smart and when you report them nothing happens as they arent breaking the ToS.

Like you, i feel your frustration. I wish they would just be forced spawned so that i continously kill them in the hope that they rage quit the match, get the deserter penalty and give the position to someone who will actually try and participate.

Not even on PS5 so I don't know which platform is the worst.
I also have tried to report but pretty sure nothing happened.

Thank you for sharing the frustration, especially when you play seriously.
Yeah I know I do play seriously in competitive PVP.

Another person when I joined an already started Battleground.
The team I was put on was loosing to when I joined we were 3 (too left).
We ended up winning by the way...

    Please FIX THE BATTLEGROUNDS @Zos.
Give penalties to early leavers, leechers and other disrespecful behaviours like staying at spawn undefinitely when last one standing versus 4 (Deathmatch mode) in Competitive PVP.

What do you even mean by "you do it to yourself"?

All BGs are no-CP. The only "low level" queue is for characters under 50, which you weren't.

What do you make of the players who got stucked in a wall due to warden charm?

They can't play anymore and therefore can't participate in the work of the group in order to win if they stay. Before placing higher penalties for leaving battlegrounds early, first they should remove charm and other bugs that can place such situations that makes a player unnable to play.

I have played thousands of Ranked Battlegrounds, and have yet to see a player trapped in any of the the 4v4 maps, nice reach.

I got trapped in the one with the moat in the middle. I even posted here about it.

So far I’ve heard of this twice (2) times, and only now, out of how many games we’ve played?

While it’s a much more common problem elsewhere, it happens so rarely in 4v4 that to use it as a means to sandbag proposed penalties for actual griefing is beyond funny.
Dragon Priest [Restoring Light, Draconic Power, Grave Lord]
Death Knight [Grave Lord, Winter’s Embrace, Siphoning]
Pyromancer [Ardent Flame, Dawn’s Wrath, Earthen Heart]
Summoner [Living Death, Grave Lord, Daedric Summoning]
Ranger [Animal Companions, Green Balance, Shadow]
Druid [Earthen Heart, Animal Companions, Stormcalling]
Elementalist [Stormcalling, Winter’s Embrace, Ardent Flame]

Oh. I in no way meant to use this as an argument against penalties for griefing. It's not really necessary. The absolutely horrible gaming experience that is 4v4 is enough to counter any arguments for penalties for disengaging, or griefing, as you call it. Inwas just pointing out that it can happen.

Seriously, I asked it above (or on another thread, I forget) but I was really looking for feedback, what exactly do you expect people to do when they are trying to do their daily and dont want a 30 minute penalty but the experience is the polar opposite of fun and engaging? Those people cant queue forn3 team bgs because zos removes them... for some yet unexplained reason. Who knows, maybe they thought the new format would grow on us if they forced us to queue for them if we wanted to queue at all.

So you're left with people who want to battle but have to queue for a format that is twrrible and worse than what they used to be able to queue for. You can either wait 2 minutes in a bad bg and requeue, or leave and suffer a 30 minute delay before you can request.

In 3 team bgs you at least had the potential to come in second. The only good things about these 2 team format bgs are the maps and the sigils. Literally every other aspect of them is terrible. Making people suffer for their bad design decisions is a bad idea. Zos is lucky people are engaging in them at all.

well, maybe matchmaking is the issue, but it really is a big issue.
demanding penalties will cause the opposite problem. the problem is that people are shortsighted. ask for better matchmaking, not for penalties for leaving. if you have penalties for leaving, then people are more likely to idle. I mean really, take the though experiment one step beyond the first step.

what you need is better matchmaking, and perhaps a system that rewards participation, like DPS avg, or HPS avg. wouldn't work in a capture the flag type situation but I haven't played a lot of BGs in ESO yet.
