More Dye channels

Hello there.

Is there any possibility in the future we get some way to mitigate how some motifs/styles have certain elements we can't currently edit? examples that come to mind are the Dragonguard or Pyre Watch medallions, Dead-water shells or the furs included in the legion zero vigiles and ancestral reach motifs to name a handful (plus the soul gems on the new black soul gem style). There's a ton of really great outfit styles that simply cant be put with others because they have an undyeable element that makes them hard to pair with other styles or forces certain colour schemes.

Would love to see more dye channels added over time to motifs that currently have undyeable components, so we can fully utilise every style in the game. Would also love to see costumes broken down into parts so we can mix and match them with the existing styles in the outfit system.

I couldn't agree more. It's so frustrating with costumes and outfit styles where some elements can't be dyed. That's why I often don't buy costumes at all, because you can already guess that some parts can't be dyed. I would definitely buy more in the shop if we could get more dye channels. B)

I think we definitely need this. It's impossible to preview everything and know which bits will or won't dye. Or how the specific dyes will actually look when applied. Especially when dyes are often shiny/reflective and you apply them and it makes a coarse fabric texture stupidly reflective and metallic :D

I find it funny how you have 50 different options of the same 3 colours. Can you really notice the difference?

Rift was way ahead of all other MMOs in this regard but they took the monetization of their dye system to an extreme. I like how ZOS didn't monetize their system at all and just put all the dyes behind achievements.

Okay. Maybe ESO's dye system is slightly monetized. You HAVE to buy the game to play it and then either buy DLCs or ESO+. Still a better way to get colors than Rift although Rift's colors are better, more vibrant. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge.

I think another cool idea for the dye system would be to separate the finishes from all the colours/armours. Some dyes are matte, like the battleground dyes, whilst others are glossy or shiny like the steels and golds we see. The ability to select any dye and give it any finish we like would really go a long way. obviously the armour textures affect how all the dyes look to varying degrees, as the texture is localised to them. But separating that texture from the armour and putting it in the outfit station would allow a lot more synergy between all the styles. Would allow older styles to be used with newer ones more seamlessly too.

Its quite obvious different designers made different batches of the motifs we see in the game, mainly because of the texturing/dye application. They should be homogenised somewhat I think (or just updated in the case of older styles like base game and early DLC motifs).
