Exploit - Flying Character

Soul Shriven
Hiya. I have attached a couple of screenshots of an obvious exploit. It was very difficult to get the shots as the avatar was travelling so fast but it did come back around again so I was able to record it. There was at least two as far as I can tell. One of the avatars was named [sni]. I have reported the avatar through in game customer support but thought I would post here as well with the screenshots

Mod edit: removed name in compliance with our Naming & Shaming policy.

Yeah the exploit is beyond just flying - that character isn't even played by a human.

Yes they get Subs from these bot accounts so i don't expect this issue resolved anytime soon...just wish they try to help the regular consumers with regular fixes to basic game play as much as they pretend to battle the ongoing and even prevalent bot issues!

Hello, all. Thank you for being diligent! That said, we have removed the name from the original post, as we do not allow posts or threads that are created for the purpose of “naming-and-shaming” other community members. “Naming-and-shaming” is the act of creating a post to call out an individual or group by name, and making them the subject of public accusation, ridicule and/or shaming. Generally, naming-and-shaming involves an in-game situation and/or Terms of Service violation, which the ESO Community Team is unable to assist with.

If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — please do not bring the situation onto the official ESO community forums.

Yes, because obviously we can´t really be sure that was what was going on.

Wait so I can't question whether they are combating the bot problem even though the company says they combat them...even though I have yet to see any difference in last month and half? That is a separate issue sorry! I am just asking about the game companies claim they are trying to help us and nothing more

Yeah, I can see why you'd want to block names like "asdasdasda" publicly so that we can't call them out, I mean they, being bots don't respond to anything, and likely that char is deleted in 2 days time, but it's good to see that ZOS's priorities are to make sure we know about 'Naming-and-shaming' instead of doing/informing us about what you are going to do about this *** BS currently ruining our game, using systems you allow...

But hay... got any more of them articles on Craglorn? I don't think Craglorn is getting enough attention... Craglorn..

What if you cannot target them , using an "F" ? Because those bots hacked your code customers did something or what is it ?! I dunno, I need an adult.
You just humiliating yourselves further, that's all you do right now. But on the other hand - that's all you can do.

Good point, Michelle--we'd be remiss not to see the real victim here is the gold farming community. Let's not cast aspersions on how these people choose to enjoy the game. Community > Gameplay

These are not even real people playing behind the chars, who can talk about naming-and-shaming. If you do your job properly people don't need to come to forums and make posts about flying exploiters and instead would be playing your game. Honestly a company should have known their priorities better than this.

zos priorities = shoving head up own butt as far as possible. Oh wait ... am I naming and shaming? This whole game is a damn shame .... absolutely amazing at the core but I swear the company wants to drive it into the ground. Honestly who even cares about the gold farmers? They are in every MMO .. it's like the war on drugs .. just give up you are NOT going to win. Let idiots buy their gold and then buy my crafted items ... works for me. Work on something that is ACTUALLY game breaking! (morning rant ... check)

OK, just suppose for one second that what you're seeing is a bug, something the players has no control over?
Not just this specific incident - you've probably got all sorts of reasons why this is a deliberate hack - but just talking generally.

Supposing it was you that fell victim to this bug? and you looked on the forum and here's your name plastered everywhere about what a cheat you are and should be banned.
Would you be happy about that?

The 'naming and shaming policy' is a standard forum ToS on every game to prevent that sort of thoughtless harassment.

And being a US company they'd probably be charged with a hate crime if they let even one innocent person get bullied on the forums.
