I get my daily and move on. If I cannot easily port out, I probably won’t even bother going in and I would guess there are others like me.Izanagi.Xiiib16_ESO wrote: »SummersetCitizen wrote: »I would rather die to a crowd of NPC’s than deal with a ganker at the alliance door or subclassed, meta-build, sweaty player.
People who don’t like PvP these days and port out after their daily (e.g., me) will die to mobs if we still bother at all.
@SummersetCitizen can you explain why?
What's the difference if another player kills you vs you dying to npcs? Except for the fact you deny the other player the tel'var reward? - Is it just that you don't want to reward other players for engaging in PVP with you or some other reason?

When I do go in, I will die to mobs so as to not reward the gankers and sweats.
This change was seemingly made to appease them, but I have a feeling it will backfire as there will be less casual players to encounter.

and shouldn't be rewarded for engaging with this aspect of the zones content?SummersetCitizen wrote: »gankers and sweats.

So in your opinion anyone who tries to engage in PVP with you in this pvp zone is aand shouldn't be rewarded for engaging with this aspect of the zones content?SummersetCitizen wrote: »gankers and sweats.
If that's the case for me the system will be better that you lose 1/2 your obtained telvar instead of having an easy port system.
That is fine. It is an old PvP zone I have everything from and only enter for dailies. It is not content most players are invested in. No one is jumping into ESO for PvP in 2026.Izanagi.Xiiib16_ESO wrote: »If that's the case for me the system will be better that you lose 1/2 your obtained telvar instead of having an easy port system.

At this rate, it will simply become even less active… leaving a small group of highly competitive players cycling through an increasingly sparse population.

Then what is the issue with this restriction if you don't care about the zone?

I enjoy doing the dailies, but I don’t care for PvP these days.
For those who just want pure PvP, this is great. I don’t think most people are looking for pure PvP.
Just one less casual doing quests.

So you wont do the daily quest because you have to spend 20s dying to a NPC? instead of 20s queuing to a different campaign and back?

They won't do the daily because they don't want to spend 5 seconds using a Sigil of Imperial Retreat.
I'm curious if other people have tried the /stuck command in chat. I have tried it twice in Imperial City. The /stuck command asks for confirmation, and then immediately moves me to a safe location. And charges about 147 gold and half telvar. Once when I was in a district owned by the faction I was logged in on, it put me on the platform above the district, where I was able to take the ladder down into my base. The second time when I was in a district not owned by the faction I was logged in on, it put me inside my base.
The /stuck command is faster for me than death port. And it is much quicker than trying to find my way through the sewers to the base. I plan on using it going forward in the future when I am doing one PvE quest in Imperial City for the daily event ticket.
If /unstuck is being exploited to safely cart hundreds of thousands of Tel Var out of the PVP areas of Imperial City, then yes. I am advocating for the loss of half of the Tel-Var stones. Besides, it's only half. You get to keep all your Imperial Fragments as well, which are more valuable. Sigils of Imperial Retreat should be working fine if stuck.heimdall14_9 wrote: »I'm curious if other people have tried the /stuck command in chat. I have tried it twice in Imperial City. I'm just curious to hear the thinking behind this change and whether there might be consideration of an alternative that would reduce the friction for players in terms of leaving IC, while still preventing abuse in terms of farming telvar and escaping from combat.

As it is, the limit can be hit pretty quickly after you jump down. Since it's too low to serve a discernible purpose, I think an explanation would be most helpful even though the answer is obviously "no," at this point to an adjustment since it's too late for a change.
