A certain individual EP player cheating in PCEU GH

Another thing is people, especially EP players jumping into Aleswell Keep from farm side. They land on a platform in the corner/tower section of the Keep. Shouldn't be able to jump into a Keep like that. Breaking down the doors or walls, sure. But just being able to jump right in, shouldn't be ok. I reported the same player a year or two ago for doing it. And they keep doing it. Seem them do it today. And...nothing will be done.

Would be great if things like this were fixed. Or if actions against cheaters/exploiters were actually enforced.

This is fixed on PTS, they added grids, they also did bigger courtyards (or something similar) to avoid jumping from outer walls to inner keep in a few keeps.

I wanted to report that the cheater is getting on top of the keeps by levitating with and without a horse. (saw it myself)

Well, this is good news. Took them long enough. Have seen it been a problem longer than I have played with other people talking about on the forums, Reddit or Youtube. I guess the right person reported it and was seen by someone that cared enough to actually fix it.

PC EU is full of cheaters anyway. In 2023 there was a guy stealing scroll by exploiting through terrains to appear just in front of the scrolls.

We spent the whole summer reporting him because we were tired of having to watch scrolls all day long to bash him before he could pick the scroll up.
I eventually got tired of seeing this cheater not getting banned and stopped PvP and went PvE.

A while ago I reported someone, doing similar things. This player somehow manged to get underneath the scroll, that was placed inside a keep, to pick it up. Everyone was confused how someone was able to pick up the scroll, since the keep was closed and not attacked for several hours. We were able to kill this person the first time. Just out of curiosity I stayed at the keep to see if they would try it again. As soon that person showed up again, I put them into tab target and started recording xD With tab target on, I could see them flying and glitching around, until that player disappeared in sneak, right underneath the scroll.
One month, after I sent the report, I got a notification that Zos took appropriate action against this player, whatever that may mean. ^^
I didn't really check if this person was around after that.
In this case Zos surprisingly cared about it. That's how it always should be, but unfortunately it's not the case. Honestly I have no idea how many reports they have to deal with each day and if they all are detailed enough for them to take care of. But if lots of people report the same player over and over again, it should draw some attention with it and might be worth looking into it. xD

A friend of mine, once generated some currency in a online shooter. It was a separate single PvE mode within the game. Even though no one was affected by it, he quite fast got a VAC ban on steam and can't play the game since then. xD Just as an example that other devs are not messing around, if someone thinks, they can violate the terms of use.

like other players I've contacted the support and they answered me twice that this behaviour dont conflict with the rules of ZOS and that they do nothing.

There should be special staff member responsible for cheats/exploits in PvP fr fr, who in fact plays the game, because hearing "this behaviour dont conflict with the rules of ZOS" is truly fascinating.

Even asking independent volunteers from time to time among experienced players who signed for this kind of activity is not that bad idea than letting these obvious cheaters to play after the first report.

What's happening is ESO lacks modern anti-cheat policies and software.

ESO is behind the times from a 2014 pov, and can't touch modern methods which I won't reference here -- although I have DM'd ZOS staff about it so they at least know it exists.

Good luck reporting cheaters and people using exploits in this game. Was a player using the invisibility glitch in Cyrodiil the other day. Reported them with video evidence. Got an email saying the appropriate actions have been taken against the player. 2 days later, see the same player in Cyrodiil using the invisibility glitch again.

They've added a barricade on PTS to stop that. Haven't seen it but it's in the patch notes

Edit because I didn't say it's to fix the Aleswell thing, because I forgot how the post started :D

This is the issue I previously mentioned!

Those cheaters keep on remaking accounts just so they can continue to troll/harrass us. sometimes it takes two months so they can comeback or sometimes it is instant because there is some sort of XP exploit. Another point that we have to consider is wether or not he has allies to help him, like leveling up that char, or getting items and such.

    Where are the ingame devs?

I know it from other MMORG that they have Gamemasters in game, which you can inform and they react immediately.
    That's something ESO is missing.

Here the support does nothing or if it takes forever and information ist given very rarely.

In i.e. Once Human they bring every month a list with Accounts which are banned (for some time or even perma), so that every one can see they do something.

On PC EU/Blackreach, there's a player on EP who's sitting on an inaccessible tower near Aleswell and shelling the walls with ballistae, so the keep is constantly under attack.

He's unreachable and doesn't take damage from siege weapons or ranged attacks.

I (and I'm sure several other DC players) reported him, but I was told it wasn't a game violation.

I let them kill me so i could get the account name ;-)

Unfortunately you're more likely to get banned or moderated on the forum for posting an image with the players account name visible than action taken in game. Calling out that action is rarely taken can also lead to forum moderation so its kind of a 'damned if you do or don't' situation.

On another note AI moderation of in game chats is back in force, players are again being banned for /group chats in which no report was made by the other parties in the group.

ZOS please understand that this is a serious matter, it disrupts the play on PC/EU Gray Host. If you are unable to identify the player please send a GM ingame and check yourself. I assume a GM can act in such a case to remove the problem.

Today there is a DC exploiter/cheater insted of an EP one.

The third thread on this topic has now appeared. This seems to be a serious problem, and ZOS needs to act quickly and decisively instead of dismissing reports by claiming no cheating has occurred.

It's not the players' responsibility to meticulously document everything, taking photos and videos; ZOS needs to respond and process logs and other forensic evidence when reports are filed.

Online Game Masters would be an appropriate way to quickly get these problems under control.

However, ignoring the issue is not a solution.

There are a couple of problems here. One, for those who got messages saying that appropriate action was taken, I can say from personal experience that most of the time, “appropriate action” means a strongly-worded email telling the player to knock it off. Sometimes, it’s a week-long suspension. But it’s not always bans.

But the big problem (that some have already pointed out) is that banning a player means nothing in a game where you can instantly make a new account. And with the EP player in PC EU, it’s particularly bad because they don’t even need to level beyond the point where they can access Cyrodiil. They don't need gear or skills. All they have to do is get to the keep, glitch to the top of it, and siege. If they get banned, they can be back literally the same day.

Hello, I saw the same problem described above. I also sent screenshots and received a reply today stating that there was no problem :( !!!!! ???? Yet, in my screenshots, you can clearly see that the player is at the very top of the fort's tower, which should normally be inaccessible!!!! It's enough to make you hate PvP to see such actions go unpunished :(

When you are investigating this with Support it would be really nice to understand why they so commonly reply saying no TOS break has occurred despite such clear evidence. This happens all the time with regard to exploit/cheating reports and they only tend to get resolved by forum intervention. There must be a better way / detection method for these types of issues since support clearly doesn't have the tools available to them to identify problems like this.

Hi All. Okay, so I have followed up with customer service. Thank you for everyone who has provided tickets. Your tickets are in the correct queue for review (queue can take 48-72 hours), but have not been looked at yet. But they are in the correct place. So we will have someone review those soon. Regarding tickets regarding cheating or exploit behavior, for the best chance of the ticket being actioned on, please make sure to include either a photo or video(best option) of the behavior with the player's name. It gives customer service the ability to make more decisive action against folks creating a negative play experience for others.

We'll check back in with customer service by the end of the week to check on this as well.
