MYM doesn't really appeal to anybody. It doesn't give much to PvP'ers, at least nothing they really care about. The most excitement I've seen it drum up was 2 (maybe 3?) MYMs when they had a Golden Pursuit attached to it. And even then it was mostly PvE players vocally demonstrating their displeasure over having to go into PvP zones to get the rewards.

We get double AP, right? That appeals to me.

It seems as busy on PS NA GH as it was last year. I had a short wait in the queue this morning. Just as busy in IC too, maybe one bar for one alliance in the morning.

Ya things are okay until prime time. I got emp achievement in ashpit mostly pvd and made a million ap. Switched to noncp to help others and leveled some alts alliance ranks doing more mostly pvd.

You also have the issue with too many campaigns being available. It was alright a few years ago when there was high enough of a PvP population, but the last 2-3 years it make zero sense to have so many empty/dead campaigns. Sure the PvE tourists love it because you can do whateverquest/ticket etc without resistance, but I honestly don't think its a good reasoning since a PvP event is supposed to mainly promote PvP.

Turnout doesn't seem to be lower than "normal" to me. PvP participation rates are lower across the board due to PvP having so many performance issues and the threat of vengeance is the only things I'm seeing as problems.

Its rather simple. The event needs to change.

As a primary pve player here are my issues.
Quest turn in locations and objectives are camped.

Certian players are able to have builds that never die, or take the coordination of 12+ players to even come close to killing them. One player shouldnt be able to have high health, dodge most attacks, heal stack, and still be able to do enough damage to one shot another player.

And yes im aware that scouting missions exist, but those are dreadfully boring and they take you clear across the map. And IC imo just encourages players to be as toxic as they possibly can be.

The entire event is draining and boring, so much like how pvp players get tired of doing pve content pve players are just tired of rhe pvp issues.

And with trade bars.... I honestly dont see how that's going to change without some core changes to how pvp works.

I dont know how to change it, but honestly, you need to be able to get around Cyrodiil faster and people need to die more. Thats all the input I can bring to the topic.

It's the same in IC. I've gone into IC every day to earn my 1 event ticket, and I haven't run into any other players except the first day, when I saw a single player from each opposing faction. We all ignored each other and went about our questing.

Apart from that, I haven't come across anyone. And I'm not cheesing it by saving civilians. I'm in the districts running around doing stuff.

IC has been dead for many MYM events in a row. I think 2023 event was the last time it had serious population out and about fighting during MYM. It needs to be given its own pvp event like it was in the past to really populate it again.

For some reason it can be pop locked 1 faction and 1 bar another faction and that 1 bar faction will own every flag and its players are all you will find running around. IC has not made any sense for years now.

But for GH it has had massive ques every night and I have seen lots of fights. But I have not played as much as I used to.

    All this is PCNA.

I’m just grabbing my tickets and bailing. Haven’t PvP’d in a while and won’t invest in gearing up again.

For me, there just hasn't been any incentivizing rewards in almost any of the events/pursuits lately.

I find myself focusing more on rewards that fit into roleplay. Rather than trying to get my hands on every armor style, like I used to, I am instead looking for things that fit my characters. And my characters aren't connected to Julioanos or Tava and such, and so the everflowing supply of new designs just don't strike a cord for me anymore.
Plus I'm pretty happy with my current design or character, build, house, etc. which compounds that lack of interest in new things. At the same time though, it has certainly saved me from getting crown/endeavor items.
It's just interesting to me seeing myself going from wanting all of the style freedom I could have, to now preferring to not use random designs.

And ever since subclassing launched, I additionally haven't touched PvP due to not feeling up to redesigning my entire build again.

Yeah, what others said, too much going on atm. Will probably try to participate more in the days ahead.

I also get tickets and move on.

I don’t want to deal with PvP after subclassing. My play time tapered before, but subclassing wrecked it for me.

    I only PvP when needed.

Forgot about this. Actually, I too have kind of 'relaxed' PvP in Cyrodiil. I don't hate subclass but there's way way too much 'exploitive' things happening. Add to that, some factions, who shall remain nameless, seem to do very well at creating strife and friction, lasting division between players and there's no rewards worth putting up with that crap forever. It's not every server but yeah buddy just something about Cyrodiil I guess. That's what I like about IC, it brings out personal skill and merit, serves to shut those folks up cause for 1, many of the mouthy ones claim everything but won't move on the map without their guild with them and 2, they talk real big but seem to all log when some of us arrive they don't like (or hide and spew insults in the starter area).

Imagine meeting one of us in IC. :)

Let's be honest: PvP is absolutely NO FUN AT ALL anymore.

Healing is out of control. Burst damage is ridiculously high. And getting into PvP has so so many demands for a build and a specific playstyle with a high demand in player skills, that there is no balance between what is demanded of a player and what they get as reward.

Whoever plays ESO PvP these days is simply unaware of how stuck they are in a pile of ....

They should've renamed the event to Whitestrake's Slugfest or Pile of Mayhem. Just for fun. 😉

Doesn't seem lower to me either. PC NA was triple digit queues fri/sat/sun this weekend. So the population is as high as it can be, at least during prime time.

It's still super fun sometimes though. Guild raid today was great fun.

Xbox NA has a queue for GH every night. I started at 74 on a Monday around 9pm.

I think a really big issue no one talks about, you can’t queue for another campaign while in a campaign anymore.

I would gladly run around blackreach or quag while queued for GH, but I can’t. So I go into daily BGs, Dungeons, then IC. Not being able to queue for other camps while in Cyro is keeping pops low on the camps aside from GH.

*balance is the number one reason tho!*

Thats not exactly true. You can't queue for a different campaign inside another, but you can queue for multiple different campaigns while outside cyrodill.

I'm doing my daily two PvE quests for the event tickets and getting out of Cyrodiil/Imperial City, just like I have done for years. Seems like that are still some players who are farming players who are just doing their daily PvE quest in Imperial City, just like in previous years. And Gray Host campaign looks like it is full during evening prime time. Not really seeing anything different here on PS/NA versus previous years.
