    ...

Have you played any other MMO? Virtually every other MMO has a centralized AH and it's totally fine. ESO did this to be different and all it does it create a barrier to entry.

You could even create the system to where everyone gets X number of listings in the centralized AH and then can ALSO post an additional 30 slots per guild trader for instance.

Hm... It seems to me that you did NOT play that many other MMOs. If you did, you wouldn't be saying something like that. Not every other MMO with a centralized AH is totally fine. SWToR for example has such a high inflation and only a few players ruling the market, that most people won't or can't buy stuff. Same goes for AION (at least the last time I logged into the game).

On another note. This whole *demand and supply* talk is nothing more than a nice dream. It only works for stuff people can substitute through something else which is the same or at least similar and which is provided by a really huge number of suppliers. In any other situation the one or the ones who dictate supply and prices are the supplieres. No one else.
The whole “supply and demand” fuss was created by economists, businesspeople, and entrepreneurs to explain and justify pricing to ordinary people. It is intended to obscure the fact that those who produce and supply goods are the ones who determine prices.

Regarding the *we should have a central AH in ESO* thing. As others stated, we had that conservation a million times. There won't be a central AH ever, so there is no reason what so ever to keep continuing this topic and restarting it over and over again.

if you had both a central system and guild traders, the guild traders would quite literally become abandoned

i am absolutely extremely against going to a centralized system that is prone to manipulation

i guess you want dreugh wax to go back up to 70k gold per unit because some rich person bought every listing on the central system, then relisted them at 50x the original prices, which you are now pretty much forced to pay as they will then set the standard

anyone selling less than that will have their stuff sold quicker yes, but 80% chance its the same person/group who cornered the market buying up all the cheap items and then again relisting to the higher prices

and yes ive seen it happen, like literally seen people who do nothing but camp the central auction house 24/7 and do that kind of stuff

And how many of those other MMOs had a guild trader system for 10+ years before they instituted the centralized auction house, ensuring that the players' mindsets and game economy were in one format before switching completely and still ended up in a healthier state afterwards?

Or are all of the other MMOs ones that launched with a central auction house, implying that there would not need to be a massive reset in the population's playstyle to make it healthy?

Again, many other MMOs run on a two-faction system, so why did converting BGs from three- to two-faction end up driving off a lot of the BG population and bringing so few people in?
