    Nice thread.

Just dropping by to say the general consensus on the IC porting change seems to be that it's great that players can no longer poof out of a fight, yet it's also annoying that we are unable to queue into other activities while carrying 100+ telvar.

Most people seemed to agree the below was a better way to handle it.
    1) You cannot port out of IC while in combat
    2) Porting out of IC at any other time (without using a sigil) costs half of your carried telvar, the same as dying

That was a well thought out reply thank you for that. I would like to purpose a general question for discussion.

It seems having a form of "transformative" ultimate abilities are used in the way you said, so it begs the question what are these ultimate moves are actually intended to do? Are they designed to "fight until the death" or "1vX"?

I started as a DK and mained it for a long time but recently I have been playing a Templar subclass build in PvP and an Arcanist in PvE. My hope is that these discussions on the forum and testing on PTS are fruitful and not become argumentative.

Other ultimates I speak of are: vampire lord, bone goliath, gibbering shield, etc.. While they function completely different they are used in a similar manner, reset the current fight by going into an "ultimate form" while dealing more damage and taking less. So the base question I ask is this: do we want these ultimates to be used in this format?

My proposal: Since there is a lot of scrutiny on how corrosive armor should be changed what if the ability itself was adjusted to be able to stay in this "ultimate form" to be a pilot for other ultimate ability overhauls. Ideas for changes: a timer similar to WW that can be refueled if "conditions" are met or allowing the generation ultimate while active again. I personally enjoyed using corrosive armor a lot when it was able to be maintained but I understand the reason that the ult gen was turned off. I would like to see a positive change where you can maintain it again but not make corrosive be so powerful that you can wipe out entire keeps of players or run incredibly hard PvE content because you ignore damage and mechs. Having a set amount of penetration rather then seemingly infinite, having a "sweet spot" for the damage mitigation and outgoing DoT damage, and a clear means to maintain this form.

In conclusion before others rip into me for my proposal, I am asking the community: Do we want these type of "ultimate form" abilities to be a short window of great power or do we want the "ultimate form" to last in a way that has to be maintained?
