There is no way that they give you Lorerbeareres as companion.

Vanus sitting in your house while he is captured by the daedra/worms. See what i mean ?

He's still writing messages to the Mages Guild concerning the Scholarium - and standing in the Davon's Watch guildhall to inform you about strange things concerning Summerset.

And Gabrielle is still sending messages for the Antiquarian Circle.

Too many followers already, WAY, WAY too many. pets, companions, quest givers....sometimes I wonder if the game isn't broken when I see someone roll by with three sorc pets, a regular pet and a companion and banker all at the same time.

That would be a bug since the banker automatically despawns the companion. Also there are only 2 sorc pets.

    Sarayn Andrethi, Telvanni mage (Main)

    Malacar Sunavarlas, Altmer Ayleid vampire

There are a few people I know who would like Eveli as a companion. She could make a nice houseguest. We have Stibbons as a houseguest, and if you have played with him a lot, he will talk about the adventures you had together. It's really fun.

Eveli is in a lot of quests, so she could talk about your common adventures too.
    Favourite NPC: Wine-For-All
Mostly PC-EU , with a lonely little guy on NA.

From the story perspective, wouldn't they all have more important things to do than follow a player all the time ?

We also have more important things to do, but that doesn't stop them from annoying us with their quests, even though they have immortal guards in every city. I'd want one to follow me around, just so that I can get into fights and have it die repeatedly. I'm looking at you, Razum-dar!

I dunno, I like Naryu and Raz very much, Eveli too, but I think that I love them because I'm happy to see them play relevant roles in good written stories.

Maybe turning them into companions would lower their significance and value as narrative characters. Isobel Veloise, whom I really enjoy, was written to be along the player all the time, to have a less part in the narrative. The NPCs you're talking about weren't. They were written to be very important and their appearances to be special events. I don't want to see Eveli, Raz and Naryu everywhere I go just because suddenly every other player who loves them has picked them as active companions.

Also, Raz and Naryu are excessively good at what they do, sometimes they even seem OP like nothing can get them. I don't imagine they would do great as companions who can be hurt and killed.

I'd like to see some quest npcs becoming companions, but I generally feel that the "fan favorites" are overused. They seem to increasingly rely on throwing those into stories, whether it actually makes sense for the story or not, possibly believing that the players will find it awesome then no matter what. I'd rather see more care going into the quests themselves - interesting creative storylines, no plot holes or lore mistakes, believable character development, characters that feel like actual people instead of one-note clichés.

I've started to loathe all returning characters almost with a passion, because not only are they becoming caricatures with less and less traits of who they once were as a characters with each return, but also they make Tamriel feel so tiny when they appear all over on the regular and we bump into them. Tamriel is a massive continent filled with millions of people, so why do I keep seeing the same 10 faces all the time, no matter where I am on Tamriel or even beyond.

Of course Tamriel feeling tiny doesn't stop at just the characters, so many of the quests treat it as it's tiny too and you can just row in a tiny boat miles upon miles to different provinces. All in a day's work!
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

This is how companions should have been done. Riggurt, Skordo, Stibbons, Raz, heemjas, Evili Sharp-Arrow, all should have been possible combat companions.

100+ Razum Dars in the Elden Root would definitely break any immersion.

I very much dislike pets and companions following me around like some stalker on drugs.
