Health recovery in pvp

Health recovery was nerfed to the ground in pvp years ago to the point where its almost usless, witch is kind of sad since its one of the tree main stats. Health recovery also supossed to be one of the things you sacrifice when you are a vampire, but now even after the damage reduction nerf to vampire its still an easy pick in pvp. Also the set that made health recovery OP last time was alessian order that also was nerfed very hard at the same time if i remember corectly so its not like it would be as strong as it was. Also health recovery at least dosent cross heal other players.

    Health Recovery was nerfed for a reason back in the day but I agree that it could safely be un-nerfed a bit for the reasons that you state.

    Safely unnerfed ehhh but I agree its such a irrelevant stat now most of the time that its a shame I do wish it could be unnerfed or at least have its reduction lessen enough to make it matter again

    As far as I can remember, health recovery sets and recovery itself were nerfed because of an alt cyro campaign, one of the first iterations of no proc, where HP regen was strong because during the first iteration so few sets were usable. In typical ZOS fashion, nothing was done in only that environment and HP regen was ruined altogether because it was strong there, and now its essentially useless all around.

    They could probably remove the reduction from battle spirit entirely and it would likely remain a niche alternative for shield builds instead of running HoTs with shields, but if ZOS wanted to be safe, just adjust the reduction from 50% (or is it 55%?) down to say 20% would be a good test to see if it can be made viable again (especially going into a DK meta where being a vamp will be a massive self nerf in PvP).

    Imo, what has really hurt health recovery more than the actual battle spirit reductions was the change they made where recoveries tick every 2 seconds instead of every 1 second. It just makes it far too slow, even when building into absurd numbers for it (I have theorycrafted some viable builds that stack it up to around 8k, but it just ticks too slowly to work even at those crazy numbers).

    Lets be honest here, it was nerfed because during the cp changes zos gave us a cp that made us have around 5k health recovery based on the amount of ult we had. Zos does this kinda thing all the time where they introduce an issue, then nerf everything besides that new idea because they love it so much....then end up having to nerf that new idea anyways. Instead of nerfing health recovery, they should have nerfed the new cp causing issues.......which they later nerfed so nobody used it.

    We saw this happen with dizzy swing when they removed the unique ult return onslaught for the copy and paste of corrosive. dizzy onslaught was too strong so they gutted dizzy damage by like 36% and compensating with lower cast time making the skill a generic spammable instead of unique.......eventually a few cycles after making onslaught only direct damage and a shorter time like it should have been originally. (current onslaught is only gonna last a patch before it gets gutted again, should be fun in the meantime to build full tank with free damage though)

    We saw this happen with swift jewelry, where it was 10%, people were consistently far too fast after summerset so zos started buffing snares/roots. They gutted snare immunities like forward momentum. They made the major expedition potions 1/3 uptime instead of just adjusting the blatantly overpowered major value. This was the dreaded murkmire frostden period, where every bg match was a boring standstill of people rooted taking undodgeable aoe frost that rooted you. The only counter was paying crowns to swap to nord. Then zos had finally reduced swift to 7% like it should have been from the get go.
