What do you do when not playing eso?

Feeding and rescuing cats seems to take up my time now. No time or energy for eso. Plus i get to be their irl hero. So much better than imaginary blips on a computer screen.

When I'm not playing ESO I build Gunpla, program Heuristic algorithms and PLC's and I build Dobsonian Telescopes for fun and profit

That's such a huge question to answer. Why do you ask?

I imagine there are some people on here who's answer will be close to "nothing" since some people can be incredibly hooked by videogames like these. But for those with active lives outside of videogames, what is your point to ask within a game forum?

I don't think I'm comfortable talking about my life on this platform. But suffice it to say, I spend very minimal time on ESO.
I actually spend more time on the forums since I'm waiting for my class refresh to hit before I dive back into the game.

But yes. Blips on a screen, as you say. Inconsequential, most of the time. Sometimes the imaginary realm of it has value in things like art, inspiration, relaxation etc. Sometimes the reality of it has consequence, such as with meeting friends and enemies, sometimes even lovers-to-be... I think I've heard stories of people finding someone in game and eventually marrying them.

The blips are a tool, and their value is relative only to how you use them.

How much pages of what I do are you ready to read?

Or is this just a topic to show that you're doing something "better than imaginary blips"?

Funny that the question is asked on a General ESO Discussion forum.
Where, y'know, I assume we talk about ESO.

If I wanted to deal with Fallout 4, Kynseed, indie Quebec games or real life woodcrafting, cats and cooking, I wouldn't be on a ESO forum. But that's me, probably, I'm a little odd, I guess.

    The rest of my life.

Work, other games, other hobbies, volunteering, going to concerts. Also most of my family don't live nearby so I often spend weekends or whole weeks away to see them and when I can I travel for fun too.

And of course all the tedious stuff that just has to be done. Today it's going to the big Tesco for the food shop and cleaning the bathroom. When I was younger I envied video game characters for the exciting adventues they went on, these days I envy them getting free houses they never have to clean and being able to keep years worth of food fresh in a bag that's also full of logs, metal ore and whatever else they've picked up. :D

Some regular stuff like this so called "work".

Glad I can do this remote - went to the grocery store, spend some time with my GF (she's also playing). Sometimes I watch her playing games (she's not into MMOs) or I play some WOW.

I love to also play fallout 76. I game with my wife. My teenage kids think the games we play are lame, lol. I'm a father and that's the best thing I do. Im also a diesel mechanic, working on Mack and Volvo trucks. Many years at the dealership, but recently changed over to a supervisor role that still lets me wrench for a private fleet that hauls fuel to gas stations and milk to plants all over NY, PA, MA, VT and even I to Canada.

I know it's off topic, but many years ago I was surprised to learn that Adidas wasn't an acronym, but instead a shortened version of the creators name. A rivalry with his brother, the creator of Puma left to the show. There's also some bad 1940s stuff we won't mention but an interesting story.

    Edit spelling.

Work, spending time with family. I have a 2 year old who’s pretty fascinated with my pantry.

Game wise, I have a Minecraft realm that I have been running for 7 years. I have such a backlog of games that never get played because of that and ESO.
  • nightbringer1993
Usualy spend time with the familly, but ever since I got nerfed. I play ESO just for the different dailies and keeping up to date for guild store, a bit of housing and events then I go on other games.

I have too many different interests, don't even have time for all of them at once sadly, so it's basically rotating in phases. Also, it depends on the seasons. Now it's winter, so it's mostly different arts and crafts, reading and antique book collecting. In summer, it nothing interrupts my plans, I'll go back to outdoor photography and exploring ruins (we have a lot of them here), maybe travelling and hiking if time and health allow (but no detailed plans on that yet). I'm also a fossil collector but unfortunately, we don't have many locations for that here, so that's only possible when travelling. Lately, I've also been discussing a music-related project with a friend. Also from time to time I'm thinking about possibly returning to some hobbies I was very involved in when I was younger, in particular climbing and geocaching. The latter might work, the former maybe not so much after being out of practice for over a decade. Well, that's a few things that come to my mind right now. Not completely sure what purpose this thread serves, but then again maybe it's not bad to see that ESO's playerbase consists of diverse characters with different interests, which might also influence on how we perceive the game and what we expect from it.
