Error When Redeeming My TESO Game Code

I purchased The Elder Scrolls Online physical copy. I opened it up and typed the code in section under "Redeem Code" in "My Account" and I get an error that says:
"This product requires The Elder Scrolls Online"

I thought that the physical copy of The Elder Scrolls online was the game, The Elder Scrolls Online. What are the steps to fix this?

Currently I have had so many issues with this online game trying to just get an account setup (I tried paying for it online and they charged my card over 5 times and wouldn't let me play or cancel the payments) I don't know if it's even worth it.

Are you trying to enter the explorer pack code? that's the only reason why you'd get that error. Adding the other code would prompt you to set up a subscription to access your 30 days, which you can bypass by having customer support add it manually.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

    +1 Insightful

I made a similar error and didn't realize that the actual Registration Code was on the back of a black "two page" insert. (inside is the game play control diagram, the code is under the Warranty Information on the back page)

    This was it, thank you!

I guess I'm just used to special editions that have everything in one code.
