Armory slots are currently on sale.
But once Season Zero starts, you can change your stats and skills for free, and even save them using addons, so I don't see why you'd need to buy armory slots.
Currently the addon can save gear, skills, cp and potions.
Once Season Zero begins, you can reset and save skills and attributes via the addon, which is no different from the current Armory. There's no reason to purchase an Armory slot simply to save Mundus.

The addons are glitchy, especially inbetween updates assuming you mean dressing room. If there's a more up to date addon im not sure but yea for that reason I still use the armory.
Even if you can change your Stats / Skills on the fly you may not be able to change CP, Mundus, Vamp / WW and Gear as easily.
Personally I think the armory assistant was a mistake, and I hope they continue to go down this path and eventually refund (or compensate in another way) those that purchased the armory assistants and remove them from the game. Instead introduce a system that rivals the addons and lets you swap out full load outs on the fly. Putting such functionality behind an assistant already makes it inferior to in many respects, to existing addons.
Much like we can change between our saved outfits from a drop down menu, but we need to go to an outfit station to make adjustments. The armory system should be similar.

The UI respec will require multiple clicks and wont change mundus or affliction.
Additionally to mimic the functionality you would need to manually change: skills, attributes, CP, place the different abilities on your bar, swap things on your quick slots, change your outfit, equip new gear sets. So it saves you quite a bit of time.
