It's just not fun at the typical form of combat.

I get that it feels bad when you die because someone nearby wasn't paying attention but for the most part, Cyrodiil has hyper-evolved the playerbase to the point that it rarely happens much these days and when it does, it usually doesn't surprise anyone and doesn't even matter because the fight was already over and they were all just repairing doors or heading to the wayshrine.
It is mad how bad players become if they die from solo distant bomber...

Hi, solo bomber, here. I hate to break it to you, but bombing consistently does require a group effort. A solo player can get some lucky bombs off here and there, but for the most part? Groups these days spread out, hold block, have between 35 and 50k HP, and are shielded so heavily that they could survive literal nukes.
And that’s when you can find groups with more than three or four people in Cyro. Now I play on PC NA, so maybe the console players are running around acting as easy bomb bait. But I can assure you that your experience isn’t the same as everyone else’s.
Besides, there are WAY bigger problems than bombing.

What I don't have respect for is RoA. It's too much, too easy, and WAY too prevalent.
Whether it's used by Ballgroups or Bombers, I personally feel like the targeting and grouping of your enemies should be a huge part of the actual skill/talent/whatever you want to call it, and not a near-universal gimme.
Good bombers existed long before the set and they'd exist after, but RoA needs a 'monsters only' tag on it to return the difficulty of the playstyle to where imo it belongs. Maybe that's a bit of a tangent, and I really am supportive of Bombers as a playstyle (don't ask me in the moment, of course) because it keeps us all on our toes and adds to Cyrodiil's feel, but man does RoA need to go.

But you need to be lucky to be able to get that far....
In the old days you had to be really skilled and only a few where skilled enough pulling of a good bomb. I actually applauded several of the bombers back then and whispered "nice bomb" to them. Now, everyone can do it and its just lazy...
If a solo player is able to bomb an entire group, that group deserved it. Stupidity should be punished, if you are not able to have situational awareness, you deserve to die, easy as that.
I didn't die to bombers in years, instead I enjoy watching entire zergs get obliterated right in front of me, because they stacked on flags, went into a tight spot blind and so on. Its hilarious, because often they are told a few seconds earlier not to stack on flags, they do not listen.

Oh?
Ballgroups use bombs... Zergs use bombs... Small groups of 4-6 "specials" use bombs... And solo players use bombs...
And my point isnt that there are bombs. My point is that the bombs are too easy and too powerful.
When a group of 8 can stand lightly spread on a flag all blocking get pulled inn and killed, its too powerful and the reason almost everyone is using it.
The new meta bomb build is the new easy "i dont have skills so might as well just bomb" kind of setup.

If they were blocking they wouldn't have been pulled in so that makes zero sense.

It happens all the time...
Might be cheats for all i know.
Its annoying af.
I guess you are bombers and dont want change because that means you might have to learn how to actually play and dont have a easy kill button.
One thing id like to see is that if you get killed within 3 seconds of killing anyone, you dont get the ap or kill(s).

I am a solo bomber, and pretty proud of it. I’m going to tell you right now that solo bombing is not an “easy kill button”. It takes timing, positioning, and skill. I know you don’t want to hear that because dying to a bomb from just one person is easier to justify by saying they only pressed two buttons and got carried by gear and procs.
For every one good bomb, there’s typically five or six duds that just get you killed. Some really skilled bombers can pull it off multiple times in a large fight, but I can count those players on one hand.
As for your suggestion that people who die within three seconds of killing someone don’t get rewards, three things:
1. I, for one, don’t bomb for AP or kill counts. I bomb for the dopamine hit of watching a dozen people get sucked in and explode.
2. If I wanted the rewards, I assure you can keep myself alive for at least three seconds after a bomb.
3. So if I’m on another build, and I 1v1 someone to kill them, I get nothing from it if I get instantly ganked a second later? All because you’re mad at bombers, lol?
Avran_Sylt wrote: »You are literally built around punishing bad PvP builds. ( why do you think there are duds...)
I'm literally a ganker and still think bombing via VD is broken lol.
(That being said if you're doing this not via VD, impressive).
