Yes, it's a potential counter to zergs and ball groups, and it's needed for that, but it should take a modicum of strategy to deploy. We had bombing back in PvP games like DAoC, too, but it wasn't really achievable for a solo player, and since it wasn't, it served its purpose for zerg busting while not completely ruining every other type of encounter. It's just not fun at the typical form of combat.

I get that it feels bad when you die because someone nearby wasn't paying attention but for the most part, Cyrodiil has hyper-evolved the playerbase to the point that it rarely happens much these days and when it does, it usually doesn't surprise anyone and doesn't even matter because the fight was already over and they were all just repairing doors or heading to the wayshrine.
It is mad how bad players become if they die from solo distant bomber...

How the hell is that skill issue?

Hi, solo bomber, here. I hate to break it to you, but bombing consistently does require a group effort. A solo player can get some lucky bombs off here and there, but for the most part? Groups these days spread out, hold block, have between 35 and 50k HP, and are shielded so heavily that they could survive literal nukes.
And that’s when you can find groups with more than three or four people in Cyro. Now I play on PC NA, so maybe the console players are running around acting as easy bomb bait. But I can assure you that your experience isn’t the same as everyone else’s.
Besides, there are WAY bigger problems than bombing.

What I don't have respect for is RoA. It's too much, too easy, and WAY too prevalent.
Whether it's used by Ballgroups or Bombers, I personally feel like the targeting and grouping of your enemies should be a huge part of the actual skill/talent/whatever you want to call it, and not a near-universal gimme.
Good bombers existed long before the set and they'd exist after, but RoA needs a 'monsters only' tag on it to return the difficulty of the playstyle to where imo it belongs. Maybe that's a bit of a tangent, and I really am supportive of Bombers as a playstyle (don't ask me in the moment, of course) because it keeps us all on our toes and adds to Cyrodiil's feel, but man does RoA need to go.

Dont even have to be in sneak anymore.... You just press 3 buttons and all the people are suddenly dead. Only way to counter is to block, break free and dodge roll away. But you need to be lucky to be able to get that far....
In the old days you had to be really skilled and only a few where skilled enough pulling of a good bomb. I actually applauded several of the bombers back then and whispered "nice bomb" to them. Now, everyone can do it and its just lazy...
