• EU megaservers for patch maintenance – January 21, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 15:00 UTC (10:00AM EST)
The maintenance is complete, and the PTS is now back online and patch 11.3.1 is available.

Shattering Rocks in PvP

Mentioned in the patch notes, says there is increased counter play to shattering rocks since it can now be dodge, but this couldn't be further from the truth. While I do get to roll dodge out of it in like 1/10 attempts, Its hard to see the animation under your feet to dodge it.

Additionally, having a delayed stun allows for broken guaranteed combos in subclassing, Like Shattering into Merciless resolve, or Shattering into Blast bones, or shattering into shalks etc.

Add the new 100% pen and 100% crit strike from onslaught and you have yourself a 1 GCD combo that kills almost anything. 40k resistances 3.5k crit resistance cant save you.

Maybe I'm just washed at PvP, but the counter play seems non existent for shattering rocks.

    I think there’s two things to focus on now
    1its new and it used to be instant so definitely an improvement but we need a bit of time to adjust and relearn an animation to dodge but I dodge it almost every time now 3/5 average unless I’m fighting a dk then I watch for it
    2slippery cp is really effective at this so there’s also that if you hold block after the break or when cc breaking normally for a second it registers blocking much much more effectively
