    Nah, Bastian stays in the box I built for him. Right next to the Altmer necro recycling container and the Sages Vault (currently empty).

    I was thinking the same thing about Darien. :)

    I doubt we'll ever get NPCs as companions.

    I want a battle Alfiq as a companion, since they will not be a playable race. They'd even take up less space on people's screens!

    Companions are a crutch and encourage people to play solo when an MMO should encourage grouping.

    I can't speak for the person you're quoting, but IMO we shouldn't have any companions in the game, which means I think we have 8 too many already.

    I personally adore companions, and ESO's are some of the best I've seen in MMOs with stories, acting, and some customization. Way better than nameless mercs I had in other games.

    Many of us play for the story (and let's be honest, in that content it is so easy the companions aren't needed at all anyway). Who is grouping to do 100s of hours of the MSQ?

    They just add a touch of fun to what is most of my gameplay.
