Request to give us another chance to get the 8 crates from the january 7th life stream

I was looking forward to watching the stream tonight, and getting 8 ouroboros crates while at it.

It turned out we had to watch 15 minutes, claim the first 3 crates, then watch another 30 minutes, and claim the last 5 crates.
The entire stream only lasted 54 minutes. That’s quite a narrow window.

Now I logged in a bit late, because the stream started at an inconvenient time for me, but ok, that part is on me.
However, the drops didn’t work properly for large parts of the stream, and were disabled well before the end.
In the end, about 8 minutes after I finally got my drops to function, they were greyed out. I couldn’t claim anything. And from what I saw in the chat, I was far from the only one.

Worse, because all my attention was on getting the bleeping drops to work, (refreshing, logging out and in again, asking others in chat whether they saw them working and so on) that I didn’t get much of what was going on in the life stream either.

I plan to rewatch the stream later to hear what it was actually about, but I’d really appreciate it if we got another chance at those crates too.
They may not be super valuable, but still, at the moment, I feel like someone snatched my candy out of my hands right at the moment I wanted to bite into it.

The two drops are 15 minutes apart from each other. First at the 15 minute mark, second at the 30 minute mark. I received both of mine 30 minutes in.

Same. And you didn't have to claim the first 3 crates to get the last 5. I claimed them both up after the stream had ended.

I started the stream at 12pm, refreshed once after it got stuck, and checked at the end to claim drops. 3 crates available, 5 crates with 1 minute left and the stream ended. Now what?!

Typically, the advice is to go watch the recap streams from the ZOS teams for other regions.

I don't see any regional recaps mentioned in the anouncement (https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/69175).
If there are such recaps, I'd love to hear about them!

I tried switching to the German stream right after the US one ended, but that didn't help.

Yeah, mine bugged out too and I only got the 15 minute one, not the 30 minute one. I was really disappointed. I'd also like a chance to finish this one out.

The stream started at 4am in my timezone so I’d also like to find out if there’s other ways to get those crates. During previous years it was possible to get them during recap streams but nothing is mentioned in the news article as someone else in this thread also mentioned.

@ZOS_Kevin any info on this? It would be a pretty bad PR start of the year for the playerbase in the APAC region if this was the only opportunity to get those crates.

You could submit a ticket via their website or in game as I have, though I’m still waiting to hear back about this as I only received the first 3 crates but I watched the whole stream. I tuned in 2 minutes before the stream even went live and watched all the way to the end. My drops seemed bugged and wouldn’t progress at the correct rate. At the 15 minute mark I had 13%(?!?) for the first 3 crates. I did try contacting Twitch about this but their contact form didn’t work for me. This also happened to me the last time there were drops on Twitch for ESO. I ended up having to watch another stream to complete the progress, but that is not an option for this one. They really should offer multiple streams for the crates or figure out what the issue is with Twitch drops.

Heads up for anyone who didn't notice yet:
There will be another Twitch stream today at 11 AM EST (= 4 PM Greenwich Mean Time).
Drops will be enabled, the article doesn't say what drops or how many though.

Still in the middle of the night for Australia/East Asia/Pacific, and during working hours for me, but as long as the earth stays round there'll always be someone stuck with that problem. I'll just hope my work-from-home family members manage to get the drops working for me.

Nope, looks like it was just one crate. So, once again, ZOS is showing players in the APAC region that they’re just %/#+ out of luck 🤷🏻‍♂️
