Why is an Exemplary Nirnhorned Bow valuable?

I had one, and ttc only listed one, for 357000. You can get the same benefit by having a bow made with a nirnhorned, which would cost very little.

I wondered why anyone would pay much and put it up for 175000 to see what happen, and it sold right away. Why would people pay much for it?

Collectors? People who don't know you can get it a different way? when there are so few for sale it only takes one person to make it valuable. You can only get one Exemplary nirnhoned item per character, so they are inherently rare.

But yes, functionally that is a bad deal.

There are people in this game who pay large amounts of gold for useless but very rare items. Not a lot of them, but they exist. People with more gold than they know what to do with.

(I am not one of these people but I have met them.)
