Definitely feel like Nick is one of us. Was hoping to hear more technical details like PSSR support for PS5 Pro or maybe Apple Silicon support or Steam Machine optimization. But the overall tone of transparency and player appreciation was clear to me and I'm excited for this year.

I really liked Nick. He definitely seemed cool when not talking on script. He also seems like he hates all the cameras and I feel that.

That stream was far too short for what they were trying to communicate. 50minutes with 10 m wrap-up. Other studios would take at least 2 hrs to explain stuff in detail.

Disagree. I like they kept short and hype. The rest of the details in this meeting Livestream can be in an email write-up.

It is a mixed bag. So mixed that I don't know what to think. I guess it is the 1st update that I am not really looking forward to & I will see how the situation will develop.

Big red flag for me is Battle Pass & different tiers. Why ? 1st of all - FOMO and 2nd - there is already ESO+. So now there will be like 2 subs that exists (and most likely Battle pass will be calculated in a way to enforce ESO+). Games that did introduced 2nd sub model overlapping either died or are dying (like WOT for instance). Also... good luck to players who use game pass or other sub model to have access to the game.... cuz they will have 3 subs now lol.

Yeah, having 2 ESO subs is crazy when consoles already have to pay a sub... Are seasons and ESO+ going to be collapsed? There is a tradeoff: future new zones will be included as free updates, which makes coop play much easier.

I was surprised when it ended, I thought they were simply pausing halfway through to summarise what they'd covered up to then, which was sensible, but then they just thanked us for watching and switched out.

However, I did appreciate the more professional approach and didn't miss the jokey banter that has come across as amateurish in the past at all.

I got in too late, nap took longer.
So what I get, we get Tamriel Tome aka Battlepass in it's prime example, you get *** stuff free and in your face stuff you are missing, but anyhow I pay for *** so idk, I just hate the model.
You get a Vendor to spend Battlepass currency on... god like I am playing Crossout or a Hero Shooter.
Quality of life *** that makes in-game things redundant, you can just do everything now from your home, no interaction needed, like a hero shooter.
... aaand better Graphics with slight combat changes on classes?

God, *** like this ruined MMOs, starting with LFG tool in WoW.

I'm sorry guys but I don't see it. Maybe there is something I don't understand so pls explain it to me (and by all means I'm not sarcastic rn). A lot of people are quite optimistic for all of it and seem to genuinely be happy with this announcement. But the way I see it right now is... no new zone, no new big chunk of story, no new corner of Tamriel to explore, probably very little lore to uncover. From my point of view what I saw today was just patch notes with some extra steps and Darkmoon Faire + (if you don't know, it's from World of Warcraft). I've played ESO since launch and my favorite thing about the game is the scale of the world, ability to visit every province of Tamriel. And for me the perfect time was since the launch of Orsinium till Blackwood. And I felt like a child with a new toy each time I've laid my hands on a new Chapter or DLC. Then there were a little bit of something I've felt like fillers than actual content. (Don't get me wrong, I was still having a lot of fun with Legacy of the Bretons but it also had some vibes of burnout in worldbuilding). Then I regained hope with Gold Road, Oblivion was my favorite childhood game and as a lorefan as well I just adore everything that is in Cyrodil. And then again from an ecstasy all the way to the bottom with Season of the Worm Cult. That was the first time I haven't bought an ESO Chapter / DLC. (Gold Road was my last purchase). When I saw this Summerset add-on (as I like call it) with some reused lore of The Worm Cult I was disgusted, and from what I've heard that was some pretty good idea to abandon that ship at the time. Then I thought "Hey, maybe Zenimax just needs a year of easy to make filler content to make some good piece of an expansion every second year" so I've waited for today, crossing my fingers for some next great adventure in tamriel. I was hoping for Hammerfell as it was so little of it covered so far, or even wouldn't mind visiting central Skyrim one more time. And what I was given is... well I've already written above how I see these new announcements. Again, if I'm not seeing something please tell me what I'm missing and explain why do people seem hyped for what's coming.

I didn't get a survey. I usually prefer to read the more detailed information in write ups on the website because it's easier to keep track of all the smaller details and refer back towards. I prefer the Streams to be more high level information and showcasing how it actually looks like, which is what this was.

    ETA

IDK why I didn't get it because I got the Vengeance email and the Ouroboros crates.

Nvm it was posted in twitch chat/feedback thread.

I feel like any of the players that own all of the previous content in game are losing out on some value with eso+ going forward since new content is released free. Seems like there should be another tier of eso+ for players that own all the previous content but wanna maintain the other eso+ benefits. Like a $10 eso+ membership for everything else aside from dungeon dlc.

My browser didn't update when the stream started so I missed the first half (and the extra crates <sigh>). I read somewhere else though that Endeavors are going away. What will happen to Seals of Endeavor? I have about 70K accumulated because I haven't seen much of anything I wanted to spend them on, are they just going to disappear?

Nope. If I understand them correctly, you will be able to earn endeavors still. It just won't be a daily/weekly system but folded into a new seasonal system so you get more time to work on it.

It’s my understanding that seals of endeavors are not going away, it’s just the daily endeavor system is being reworked, and you will get seals differently. They won’t have to be done daily any longer.

Here's a suggestion in regards to the subscription.
I am not a fan of quarterly subscriptions to anything.
Everything I pay for (utility bills, etc) is on a monthly subscription, because that's what works for my personal economy.
Yes, it sucks to be poor.
    So.
    Monthly subs;
ESO+ with the regular eso+ stuff = the usual 10 bucks.
ESO++ with the regular eso+ stuff and all the new extra stuff = 20 bucks.
Give the option for paying for either, both monthly, quarterly and yearly.
That way you'll cater to all of us.
    Pretty please.

This quarterly payment is stressing me out! Please help.

I got their survey and filled it out, but... we have no information.

    I play ESO for housing.

Which houses are getting furniture item limit? What is the new furniture item limit with ESO+?

The rest of the stuff didn't get any details either. I can't form an opinion on general ideas of something without specifics.

They should post all the details they have on how things will work. THEN start the survey after giving everyone a week to learn/ digest it all.

I'm not excited to log back into the game. I'm confused over whether I should have hope or not. I'm not going to log into the game or subscribe without knowing what is coming.

Working for a living is so overrated. I could only stomach 40+ years of it before I finally decided to stop doing it.

Same. I could never commit to quarterly paying for something.

That is in that weird spot of... I don't know if I'll be playing that long. But also FOMO if you don't play for those 3 months to get all the rewards possible.

So far, it sounds stressful. I don't want to sign up for a job for 3 months because I paid to work for 3 months.

I had no problem buying Chapters because it was content I could do at any time. At my own pace. That resulted in me buying almost all of ESO's chapters.

The season/battle passes are FOMO and stressful.

The timing of the first season is abysmal as well. WoW's Midnight launches March 2nd. ESO is going to launch the week after that??? When WoW's expansion is brand new and players have already committed to playing WoW for the month because it's the content update that came out first?
    Yikes.

Let's say I'm playing Midnight for the first month. That means I've lost out on 1/3 of the value of ESO's battle pass. Which means... I now also don't subscribe to ESO for the next 2 months because it's not worth it to play ESO at that point. I might as well wait for the next 3 month interval.

Overall, I think we need way more information than we have about the 3 month paid battlepasses and their rewards/bonuses/etc. Right now, all we have is speculation and confusion.

The battle pass you can lose is free. If you paid, it is yours to keep. It's also all cosmetic as gameplay updates to content will also be free, for the most part.

Tying class balance to visual rework is... I can't think of nice words. By your own roadmap, only 3 classes balanced in 2026, which means at best it will be 2 years before the first pass of class/multiclass balancing? Completely killed the hype for me.

Totally understand where you are coming from. Just want to remind folks that we are working during our work hours. And coordinating with global teams. That is why we end up doing these in the afternoon. It is when we have the most team members around to support. However, this is why we provide the vod on Twitch and YouTube for anyone not able to make the stream time.

    Let me guess
Crown Crates are being removed and placed into the Sage's Vault
ESO+ will be used for mostly battle passes
The chance of new zones being added has decreased by 95%
The chance of mounts, pets, skins and costumes being recycled has increased by 100%
And ESO is officially f2p on all platforms
This thing happened to Overwatch 2, didn't end so well.
And don't forget the slip up of Winterhold, gotta milk the Skyrim cash cow after what happened last year.

not much there to interest me unfortunately. The night market might be pretty good. have to see i guess. Massively improved dungeons, invasion zones and a lean specialization system that replaces cp would of been your best bang for the buck imo.

    Not quite..
What Ruj is focussing on is whether or not they want to pay for something they do not feel like they have enough information about.
Whereas I am indeed willing to pay, but due to my limited financial resources I do not know if I can pay quarterly. But I am fairly certain I can manage it monthly.
I apologise for perceiving Ruj's response as a ridiculement.
