[nHoF] [1st Boss] [One shot tank death]

Why?

The team skipped portal work (because normal?). I thought that might be the reason of one shot death.

I always take one shot death at the 1st boss of the nHoF when I'm in tank role. And I've seen other tank
role player also got one shot death several times at there.

My tank is quite tough enough, so that was irregular situation without something mech effect.

I never doing portal in normal so I not sure there wipe or like other trial mech can’t kill anyone
but Pinnacle Factotum in vet have a Simulacra mechanic can one shot anything
The boss will CC whatever currently has aggro and split into 4 copies around the target. The target will have a small friendly AOE under their feet, and leaving it will instantly kill that character. Each simulacrum will wake up and start a palm strike that fires in a cone pattern. The character locked in the middle needs to turn and block the animating simulacrum before it goes off to mitigate the damage to the party.from UESP
If only you dead,not a group wipe,sound like not portal fail kill you,maybe you leave the circle so you dead?

See https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Forging_the_Future and note the comment about the electric link between the two Fabricants. That's probably what's killing you. You need to avoid getting in between them.

Unless you're thinking of the next boss, https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Pinnacle_Factotum. In which case perhaps it's the homing AoEs? If the group is too close to the tank, these will overlap and deal significantly more damage.

Maybe. But tank doesn't move so frequently without something mech mostly.
(Otherwise, taunted target keep following on the field with tank. That will be problem.)
So, I can't remember that I stepped out something safe zone or not. Even I couldn't remember such a
safe zone actually exist beneath my feet.

I meant Pinnacle Factotum (A human shape robot).
Always only tank got sudden death( the person was doing taunting work.)
