If you had ESO+ have you cancelled it?

If you had ESO+ have you cancelled it? If so, why? I know I've ended mine based upon this year's content model, shoddy execution, and changes made in the interest of "memory saving" that have absolutely ruined the function of the gameplay for me. This isn't bait, it's intended to be a clear message to the devs on what is happening here.

I currently have ESO+. My subscription would renew in April. That always depends on the next annual plans.

Still an excellent game content and performance wise for me, so I've no reason to give up any of my my three half yearly subscriptions. I play other games as well, but ESO is the only constant one and has been since launch.

I downgraded my annual sub to 90 days when it renewed in November. That's enough to get me through to February. I'm hoping for a January reveal that lays out what's coming in 2026 with details. If I don't get that, I'll be cancelling in February.

I’ve canceled and find it very easy to manage as a veteran player. I’ve got a full craft bag and plenty of gold to buy niche items when required.

If needed, I’ll get a month here or there, but I don’t plan to at this point.

I'm keeping ESO+ until I leave the game, but that absolutely doesn't mean I'm happy with the direction of the game right now.

I already have decided that I'm not buying the next Season (unless they offer one specific thing). This year showed that there is no care put into it, and the only parts that I do enjoy - the dungeons - are included in ESO+ anyway... which means I was forced to pay twice for them because I bought the 2025 season.

If I'm playing ESO, I'm going to have ESO+ because I like the conveniences and perks it gives me. Whenever I take a break from the game, I do cancel it.

So, depending on how next year shakes out, I may be taking a break.

I cancelled it for now as I am barely playing. It lapses in January.

If I ever am really active I'll probably get it again since they designed item management to be pretty irritating without it.

I cancelled when ZOS ignored feedback from U35, the jabs animation specifically.

I have done single month subs twice since U35 for inventory management, but other than that, ZOS hasn't gotten anything from me since U35.

I've kept my sub since I started it several years ago. It's not due to renew until summer, so I won't need to look at it until well after whatever is on tap for 2026 gets here (or partially gets here - let's not do "content locked behind extremely lengthy community event" again, m'kay?). I'm also not among the group who likes to "do this or I cancel" or "don't do that or I cancel." I play the game I have in front of me, or not. There are many hundreds of game in my library which are in that "or not" category, btw, and I'm not losing a second of sleep over any of them. They were enjoyable until they weren't and that's pretty much how the gaming industry works.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

I go month by month basis as needed, usually it depends on if I am decorating or not. Currently thats not the case yet so Im letting it go for now next month. Mats go in my chests, got all of em.

I wouldnt even have considered playing eso in the past without plus but lately I dont feel the need.

Continuation of battle passes or content passes etc will determine if i get it regularly, or at all for that matter. Same with Greyhost and if it exists in the future. No greyhost, no eso.
Zos then: Vengeance is just a test bro

am i always happy with every choice that zos makes not entirely, but its not enough to make me stop playing

there are some days i only log in for dailies, but thats mostly so i dont like burn out on the game too hard, which can sometimes be difficult with the near constant events (though most of the time this just adds a few extra things to do daily)

ESO Plus is costing me slightly less than 40 cents a day. Considering how many hours I play ESO each day, I think 40 cents a day is a bargain.

I had already purchased all then-available chapters, zone DLCs, and dungeon DLCs before deciding to subscribe to ESO Plus, and have continued purchasing new DLCs, chapters, and season passes as they've become available, so those things never factored into my decision to subscribe to ESO Plus.

For me, it's more about the craft bag, doubled bank space, and furniture vault-- but most of all, it's about wanting to support a game that I enjoy playing several hours each day.

I am keeping the subscription for the craft bag, housing slots, and the group dungeons if I need them. I feel like this year has not gone well and the rumors of the new content being a DB quest in the current zones does not interest me whatsoever, so I may not purchase the new update for the first time ever.

I still stick around hoping to see the absurd power creep of ballgroups with their OP sets in Gray Host Cyrodiil addressed someday.

I have only purchased ESO+ twice for a month each time but I think that counts as a cancel? I've been thinking of springing for another month for the upcoming event next week but with the game being completely unplayable with no warning whatsoever each day I am reluctant to open my wallet again. No sense paying for a game that I can't play.

    Yes, I cancelled
I've been playing this game since 2014. I've been subscribing to ESO+ for 10 years. I cancelled mine before it renewed back in August.

I, er, disagree with many of the command decisions that have been made for this game over the last 4 years, but "the last straw" was creating a zone, (and I'm going to be polite,) that was designed and executed - I'm assuming - by 4th graders for an after school project.

Meanwhile, I can't play all the way through a single story in any zone that isn't broken in some way.

I have paid money for this content. I won't be paying one more cent until it functions as it should.

Keeping my sub because I love ESO, and would never want to see this game go offline! But as one of ESO's biggest fans/supporters even I have to admit the change in content away from chapters and the amount of bugs during a one-time event have me seriously questioning ESO's future.

Still, I am going to play with a positive approach/outlook on the game!

PS: Some of the other things players seem worried about, do not worry me. As I do love subclassing(don't care about balance) and I do like vengeance(seems like a perfect starting point/stepping stone for newly PvPers). I also think ESO's playerbase is quite healthy still, despite many of the players stating otherwise on these forums.
