Where do you think ESO's main focus should be in the next year:

I guess it can be hard for developers to know where their main focus should be, and what other things should also be taken into account. So why not do a poll :D
If I forgot an option you think should be there, I'm sorry.

I voted Difficulty because we already know it is in the works. I would add combat animations to that, because I think combat in general, if improved, can bring in more players - many have discarded the game because of combat over the years...

I'd like Visuals to be improved but only after abandoning older hardware: why redesign graphics with the constrains of hardware that will soon be abandoned since already 13 years old? There's also next-gen consoles on the horizon so I would expect to take full advantage of those and not castrate the improvements due to ancient hardware.

      New Class
Yeah, it won't be and I should totally say "Class Balance" because that is a really pressing issue that affects all parts of the game.

But omg I really want a new Class so bad.

I have a whole backstory made up for a new character as soon as I get a Class to go with him. I've got two full storage containers with research stuff and riding lessons that we keep getting for daily rewards. I want to see this happen!

My big thought is: with Subclassing, players no longer need to make a new character (but we can if we want to). Now we can totally treat those three lines as mix-and-match skill lines so we could use them on existing characters. New Class lines means we de facto get new PvP content (new skill sets to fight against), new PvE content (new ways to complete things), and for a lot of people it gets us back into old zones (they did do the tutorial and starter zone refreshes after all). And I will say that the announcement of Arcanist was probably the most hyped the playerbase had been for a while - Tales of Tribute didn't get that many people juiced up for the game. And next year will be 3 years since Arcanist (and since the game released, it's been an average of 3 years between classes: 3 from launch to Warden, 2 until Necro, 4 until Arc).

Above all else, making the game more rewarding. Shifting content from crown crates to in game rewards.

There needs to be more systems like IA to chase said rewards.

I guess not being class bound was a movement in that direction, I would say that it's not completly possible, but they could focus more on lore and work on the skills visuals and mechanics for that. The multi-class quest for instances just felt out of place, "dragonknights" "sorcerers" simply don't have the same amount and quality of lore in the elder scrolls like "the Akaviri" or "the dragon born".
They could definitely add more lore to the classes and the multi-class quest could have been the start for it. But it felt a bit lacking

Perfectly valid, I would say the option I want "Visual skill design" hasn't gotten much love in the past years, or rather it has been quite the hit and miss, issue being the lack of redesign when it's a miss ex: DK skill that makes only your character's heart visible, it isn't even much "Dragon Knight" looking. Or weapons disappearing during certain skills. Then again I don't know how much working on this things take and what is connected with it. So expecting a change within a year in that regard might be asking too much.

what you have described for NPC interactions is not a change in the NPC AI, thats literally the tethering mechanic that your talking about which is entirely different

in stuff like group dungeons, there is basically no tethering already, most mobs can be pretty much dragged all the way to the next stop point (boss, locked door, etc)

public dungeons and delves i wouldnt want everything chasing me all of the way through, because usually if im typically in them its to do a quick daily quest and sometimes i dont want to kill everything in there on my way to an objective

i voted for visual skill design, since we already have a system for recoloring a skill, i would like to see that expanded upon and actual alternate animations for skills (so people can CHOOSE between old jabs and new jabs for example instead of it being the same fixed animation but just with recoloring)

Ok worded that badly, but I would say that if they decide to turn their back on you it should at least expose them to being attacked. It just feels off seeing them suddenly running away while you can't do anything to them. But the category meant interactions with npcs in a broader sense, for example maybe you want to have more interactions with your companions, and have some AI in those interactions. Could also be the way npcs attack in group or how you interact with town npcs.

      Class Balance
MMO's are a huge investment of time, money, and resources and I do not think it is wise, healthy, or feasible for them to focus on one aspect of things while neglecting others. There has to be a lot of juggling plates, especially when a game has a breadth of players with different wants, needs, and desires.

That being said, if I had to choose, I chose class balance because it is probably the most critical issue and I do not think many people will be patient and allow them to wait. Even before subclassing, there were many pain points about class power relative to one another, and clunkiness, ease of use, etc. While I think subclassing will be good for the game in the long term, in the short term it's caused chaos and unbalanced messes across the board. Combat and classes are something that impact every player and character in the game, though it impacts some more than others.

I understand why many are at their limit and frustrated and want to see action and change now on classes and that is why I think it needs to be the priority as much as it can be. At the same time, I do not think ZOS can neglect other parts of the game and go fully into class balance without it also causing problems for the game.

Most people I know stopped giving money to ZOS when they ignored our feedback on U35 and refused to roll back the jabs animation abomination. Turns out not giving them money doesn't help either, but at least we save a few $ that way.

I really want them to do what they said they'll do for once and focus on these class updates and changes, thats the lifeblood of the game and affects both pvp and pve players.

Housing will probably always be in a good spot, quests and chapters/content pass whatever they already know they have to do well this time after the solstice shenanigans, these are important to the community for sure, but new players wont stay if the problems of the core game persist.

Absolutely above everything else, I believe they need to focus on revitalizing the base game classes, and balancing the classes in general first.

      New Class
Personally I do not care about balance or difficulty or visual skill re-designs. And even though I am interested in the class refreshes, I would actually rather have them spend all that time and effort on new stuff to add to the game. Preferably new classes/new content. As the game already has plenty of content, I would love new classes(and new races)!

      So, new classes!

You are certainly not wrong there, would also be good to retain new players, since there is more than enough content for them anyway and it would be a way to reinforce trust with the existing community, so not a bad approach at all. Even If they just take class balance seriously and make a true revision of them, the visual effects ends up being included in it that way too. Ex: Making the necro more necro by changing some of the skills to summon temporary skelletons that die after a few seconds. I always disliked the energy lazers necro has from activating corpse abilities, it's such a clunky mechanic having to walk around the target to get the right direction to hit them with it, and just looks bad and has nothing to do with the class theme both mechanically and visually.

      Class Balance
I voted class balance cos let's be honest, we spend all our time on/in our characters. Everything we experience in eso is with our characters.
Im tired of the meta flooding every build. I personally would like other classes be as strong as the arcanist. Remember the arcanist has the unfair advantage of it's class mastery being quite potent.

I would also like to see dlc dungeons nerfed as level 45 players find it hard to beat the content. I spent too long in groups trying to kill bosses in dlc dungeons that fail and dont end up completing it. Scriviner's dlc dungeon first boss is one where newer players wipe a lot. Make these easier as players need them to farm gear and hunt for leads too and wecend up getting these dlc ones often as our random normal.

There is already a ton of content in the game. Frankly, I'd like to see the focus on fixing bugs, ranging from as small as the diaper butt bug on the Timbercrow Wanderer costume to updating graphics, adding some new quests and life into the original alliance zones, improvements to the companion system as well as other existing systems (housing, etc). I'd also love to see more focus on the outfitting system to include working with the almost universally and oft expressed desire to be free of hip, butt, crotch flappers on light armor.

They are already working on this Class Balance including revamping this New skill lines (Either entire new skill lines or new schola/weapons skills) along with Visual skill design (visual revision and enhancement of current existing skills).

While they have said they are also working on Game Difficulty (Focusing on overall player feedback regarding both the difficulty of overland and dungeon content), that would be pointless without the class revamp, as would New Class.

Not entirely sure what you mean by NPC Interactions (Enhancing npc AI Ex: not running back after a certain distance at least in Delves and dungeons, regaining full health and being immortal).
