[BUG] Hairstyle changed after relogg

Hi there, i was just about to reorganize my banking space and to transfer some of the crafter mats to several "Slave"-Characters. After relogging with my crafter alt, her hairstyle was changed out of the sudden into a totally stupid looking short hair cut.

While this might sound funny at the first moment, this is first really annoying for myself and second, shows that the server-stored character information seems to be "vulnerable".

The question now for me is ... how am i supposed to get my original hairstyle back?

She didnt like it, so she got a hairstyle of her choice at the barber. If you like it or not !

Dunno, never had a similar bug happen to me. but as NiRN stated, you are unable to change it again. As bad as it is.

Well closing and restarting the game several times now did resolve the problem but still, i guess someone should look into that since, as i said, the character information seems to be vulnerable.

    Hahaha (I'm sorry)

    By the way the barber is nice idea. But personally I would use some tattoo saloon. I just simply forgot to make some on my mage ;_;

You know I never bugged it (bad me), but about 5 days into the game an adornment appeared on my character's forehead and has never gone away.

I really, really don't like them at all. Not only do they defy physics, but they can totally ruin the look of an otherwise carefully put together costume, so I prefer my characters to be as adorn free as possible.

I just pretend my character has her own idea of what looks good (and fortunately, I only see her from behind in game) B)

I'm not sure what you mean by 'vulnerable', but this isn't the first game I have played where updates have affected character customisation. I know logging into Vanguard was a bit of a lottery but at least you could re-customise after creation. Even so, some of the changes were pretty devastating. My Dark Elf's hairstyle in L2 changed completely one day and in LotRO I seemed to have constant hair colour issues, I suspect due to lighting upgrades.

Now I'm no genius on the subject of women, but doesn't a radical change in hairstyle mean she's unhappy with her current relationship and strongly considering breaking it off? If I were you, I'd have a good long heart-to-heart with her before she does anything drastic.

You might want to also make a quick check of her belongings to see if there's more white wine, greek yoghurt or chocolate there than is usual.

I haven't seen this bug personally, but of course am glad that your character now seems to have reverted to her previous hairdo!

I would support the idea of having barbers in game to make minor appearance changes, such as adornments, hairstyle, and facial hair, and to add tattoos - you know what, achievement-based tattoos that you could add would be a great idea. I don't know many people who keep the same hairdo/earrings/beard style constantly, and being able to make limited changes to certain aspects such as get a haircut or a shave or change your jewelry would be really great.

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

This appearance change wasnt due to an update but due to a relog only.

With "vulnerable" iam speaking about the following:

Your complete character data is stored at the ZOS server wich is actually quite fine and the way it should be. But if a simple relog is able to change your appearance, there is also a chance that a relog is able to change other data regarding your character setup, progress and so on.

Despite the funny aspect of it, and i totally get it since i for sure would have made my jokes too reading this thread, this "is" something ZOS should have a look at.
