Will we ever be able to change our race?

This game was advertised as Play the Way You Want. Unfortunately for my Khajit Sorceror, melee is not really an option. It is severely underpowered and therefore I have completely useless racial bonuses.
Hey Zeni .... why don't you sell a Race Change potion or something? I would gladly buy it, as well as many other people. More money for you = good thing for game.

You should have picked a race that you'd be happy with regardless of changes. Race changing is not likely to happen anytime soon and is far from priority. Also, most racial skills can be covered by gear anyways, so it's not a huge deal.5 -

I don't like the idea to change race, class or alliance after character creation. If you want to change your hairstyle or something-> ok, but not race.
And like i told you: Racial skills aren't as important as you say. You can play a character who never use any racial passiv skills. If you can't play him without racial skills, you do something wrong, because they don't have an huge impact.
And if you want to max out your character you have to create a new one.let there be darkness

Lorewise the only race that can transform is the Wood Elf Bosmer, and they can only change into monsters (which is how most monsters came into being).Is there any legit reason why a race x should transform into race y?

You posted on a public forum instead of using /feedback. The second you post to a public forum, anyone can involve themselves. But you know that. You posted on the forums knowing damn well people would reply. The fact you're sitting here replying means you were really just in a mood to argue with people. If your suggestion truly was just a suggestion, you would've posted it and walked away.

I picked a race to min-max my character as I assumed melee could be optimal DPS. Racials can be covered with gear (besides the Altmer 4% boost to damage) but at an opportunity cost while my increases stealth radius, health regen, and melee crit are wasting away doing nothing for my character.
Why is Race changing not likely to happen soon? Money is always good for a MMO developer and this is something that they could clearly sell for cold hard cash.

I've been trying to make melee work and still am trying from time to time. I didn't really care about max dps going through 1-50 content so I was still rolling my melee sorc (crit surge does work nicely with it.... just not enough DPS for trials).

BTW some special forces prohibit their agents to play games with resurrections/respawns, because that reduces their sharpness in the field. Life is about making choices and sticking to them. Can I point out that Lorewise noone can transform their Race excpet Bosmer, this is a reason for it not to happen, since the lore is an important aspect of The Elder Scrolls to most players.

Yes I'd rather wait a few months than spend 1.5 months leveling another Sorceror. I still have DK, nb, and Templar to level.
