I am enjoying the Writhing Fortress and want to see it Memorialized

I am 110% certain that the Writing Fortress, and the whole Content Pass will be memorialized.
I was frustrated with how long and tedious Phases 1 and 2 were, but Phase 3 has been fun! I have run the Writhing Fortress on 3 characters so far. The first time I was kind of lost but I am starting to figure out what is going on now and having a good time!

I really don't want to see it go away and would love if it was turned into a dungeon that tells the story of the wall and how the citizens of Tamriel banded together to bring it down. This way new players can see what happened before and others can have a memory of the event.

    It deserves to be memorialized!

I am 100% certain that the Writing Fortress, along with the whole Content Pass will be memorialized.

Don't think they could make adjustments to the fortress and keep it alive in PvE. Making it into a dungeon or trial would mean ZOS would have to remove the grand feeling it gives when running it. In my mind it would make more sense to change it into a large scale BG.

I don't see how it would translate to a battleground. The wall event has nothing to do with the alliances battling each other, but rather with the citizens of Tamriel working together for a common cause. Also, many players do not PvP. I can't imagine how long it would take to fill a 50 vs 50 (100 players total) queue.

As for not wanting to lose the grand feeling when running in, they could have NPCs fighting Daedra in the background all around us to make the fight appear larger and more intense.

Just an FYI, the battlegrounds have nothing to do with the game alliances. I don’t know if this would change your view but I just wanted to clarify this.

No, that doesn't change my view. Regardless of who is fighting who in a battleground, I just don't see how feasible it would be to fill a 100 player queue. There are threads talking about how PvP is declining and it was never the majority compared to PvE activities. I don't think there would be enough interest.

It's hard to disagree with this. I haven't really enjoyed battle grounds since 3vteam went away, and was still never big in them, but I still do them with guild mates or something and it can be hard to fill a regular BG. 100 people would be impossible. Would it be fun? For sure. I would love to give it a try but the novelty would wear off fast I think.

There are more than 100 players in Cyrodiil when it’s at three bars each. Yes, some of us still go to Gray Host campaign every day.

I’m not sure how a large cooperative dungeon like this would work for battleground teams though, to be honest. It’s the large group of everyone working together that makes it fun.

I am not against it being memorialized. The special title can stay only for those who did it in time, and it will be fair. But the fighting in the fortress was epic, it would be sad if it completly goes away.

Khajiit thinks public dungeony super tough zones like this should pop up all over the place, randomly and with different daedric invader themes and all rewarding different sleek, excellent, delightful loots and multi-part rewards.

It would be glorious, and khajiit thinks it would also be quite popular, appealing to those who want adventure, those who think overland is too easy, and, above all, to those who want sleek loots.

It is all about the loots, always. It is why khajiit is here, and the dearth of suitably sleek rewards was the biggest flaw of this whole event.

I think the fortress could become an instanced 12 player daily.
I hated the "zerg feeling" when it opened because you were just swarming the enemies 10 vs 1.

I'm in the opposite camp. I really liked seeing all those people doing the content at the same time.

Though, I don't think the Writhing Fortress should stay up. It'll outstay its welcome and few people would want to play it in the future. It's a shame that this content won't stick around, but I think it's for the better.

I liked the spontaneity and improvisation running the Fortress as a public dungeon, with so many people working together at the same time, all on different tasks and in different roles. For example, some of us held off attacking Daedra so others could repair and use the ballistae, while we saw yet another group approaching with the Infernium in the distance, and got constant updates of which bridges the group in East had fixed so far. It felt stimulating and rewarding.

Some of this spontaneity might be lost if the Fortress would be reworked as a trial, but I still think that would be a good option to keep the Fortress around. A group of 12 seems like a good size to me.

Another option would be to bring the Fortress back as a public dungeon for a limited time each year, e.g. as part of the Anniversary Jubilee or the Undaunted Celebration. The limited availability plus the chance to earn tickets and each year’s new loot would, hopefully, ensure enough players show up for a smooth run.

I, too, doubt keeping it a public dungeon will work in the long run, at least without additional stimulation or some kind of rework. The fortress already isn’t swarming anymore. We did the East wing with just 3 people yesterday, and though we managed, it was a lot tougher and not as much fun.

Pragmatically, if it is kept, I see the Fortress as a mini event with as many players as we can, because with so many players doing it, it was epic. If it comes back as a mini event it is then easy to get lotsa players across the board at the same time. Give a mandatory reward for its conclusion. And voilà.

Of course, not counting that the fortress will come back in early 2026 just for those who couldn't do it in time due to bugs. These people were not forgotten.

Then maybie it could come back like once a year (or every 2 years or whatever...I am not at the head of ZOS, fortunately for them ;) ) as a mini event.

Of course maybie now ZOS plan to craft similar"Fortress" in the future, due to its popular success. If so, the now known Fortress could be buried without remorse, but what do I know...

    Cheers

That would empty the game even faster and more thoroughly than the most recent updates have. Somehow I can't see good rewards being offered in this game ever.
